Legacy Maps [Discussion] Vol 2

I remember the map pure Frag from EtPub, It was always played a lot.

A bit of discussion about Spawn kill, but otherwise a nice map.

 

And indeed, Fuel dump, still voted and played a lot, but makes many players leave or go spec. ( Or say : @Rogan wake me up in 30 min :)  )

I have actually seen more people play this map on this server compared to the amount who use to play on Etpub. Would be better with cp spawn but for some reason the maps scripts are not working.

Someone would have to write a map script for legacy mod.. :/ I can ask around on ETL Discord.

I asked around the devs about mapscript for fueldump, I’ll let you know if I have something legit. 

It just means that not every map script, for example from etpro or etpub is gonna necessarily work on legacy ;)

I've tested my etpro mapscripts on legacy too so i see no reason why they wouldn't work

Hmm.. Have been looking through my archive of campaigns and TrackBase overview of maps.

Remove

  • Saberpeak - looks good but it's scale is too large, requires double jump
  • Capuzzo Airport - the mountain pass is quite biased towards the defending team, so it's pretty hard on a full server

Add

  • Toxicity: Facility 31 - great map without double jump
  • Teuthonia - similar to Goldrush, so it's a nice change
  • Marrakech Streets (possibly by Night version) - overall classic!
  • Axis Lab - different map layout than other maps
  • Vesuvius - overall classic!
  • Frost - it's still a bit winter, isn't it?

Doubtful

  • Bridges - may be too large during the day
  • Cathedral - has a couple of chokepoints
  • Colosseum - simple objective, but can be boring after a while
