DiNg Posted November 6, 2019 Report Share Posted November 6, 2019 Hi there you guys I have to say it's been quite a long time and as mentioned already, i've been willing to come back for a few games. So I catched up a little and installed ETLegacy on my old machine. Guess what? It is obviously not working. So I'm running EtLegacy 2.76 on my old Windows 10 64 bits and the game crashes whenever I try to connect to a server. The game downloads whatever it needs but then freezes, stops working without any error message and only a good old fashionned ctrl alt delete seems to relieve my old comp from a painful overheating. Thanks though I also read many things on the internet but i'm pretty newbish when it comes to computer stuff. And nice to see you're still around but then I managed to connect on two servers: a Nitmod and a Beginners. Hi there Mini The game crashes after the different downloads. You've got the downloads, then awaiting connection then awaiting gamestate. Then you get the main map with the server's description but the loading bar on the right bottom never gets to the end and the game starts shaking and flashing. Ctrz Posted November 7, 2019 Report Share Posted November 7, 2019 I suggest to make fresh install. If you have different drive as local - install it there. I have both vanilla and ETL launcher installed on D:/ launcher copied on desktop. Also download files manually might help - if you dont find place to do that, I can maybe zip my folders and send them to you if that helps. FritVetBE Posted November 8, 2019 Report Share Posted November 8, 2019 Heya If i remember well, ETlegacy should always be upgraded by performing a clean installation (delete any previous installation of the game, then install the game). Before doing so, make sure to backup your configs if you use any. I'm also willing to look into this for you with Teamviewer or so. Bystry Posted November 9, 2019 Report Share Posted November 9, 2019 @DiNg your best chance to solve your issue is to copy your log file with the error and share it on ET: Legacy discord (invitation link: https://discord.gg/BKPEvH). Some of the ETL devs should help you. It might be some non-relevant issue that is crashing your client, but I think you would have solved it by now if it had been the case.
