poxycat Posted December 26, 2021 Report Share Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) DOWNLOADED UPDATE 2.79.0, dragged and dropped into start menue ET icon but didnt install update. now each game takes 20 minutes to download then asks for xmas pk4. How do I fix this ? ET 2.60b win-x86 May 8 2006 ----- FS_Startup ----- Current search path: C:\Users\Donald\AppData\Local\Temp/etmain ---------------------- 0 files in pk3 files ----- CL_Shutdown ----- ----------------------- Couldn't load default.cfg - I am missing essential files - verify your installation? You can find these from C:\Users\xxx (your username)\Documents\ETLegacy. Etkey is under etmain, etconfig is under legacy. You'll need these later. Now, if you are using a Legacy client: -> Navigate to C:/Program files (x86)/ETLegacy -> Open "uninstall.exe" and uninstall the whole game. It will ask whether all user files should be removed -> remove all. -> Download the latest release from https://www.etlegacy.com/ -> Install the game and launch it. -> Move the saved etkey and etconfig to the previous locations. Replace the ones already there. Try the game now. It will have to download every .pk3 again but this time there should not be any issues.
