Hey, what Danimal mentioned here is sth I was thinking about fev times, for example flamer is HW that should be used really really carefully so you don't TK half of your team In my opinion this idea is good to discuss and maybe try.

I wanted to start a new topic and float an idea. Should there be some sort of limit on who can use heavy weapons? For example, a minimum skill rating could be required before a player can take a panzer or mobile MG. This would reflect both the scarcity and destructive potential of these weapons, as well as the risk of team damage when they are used poorly. In practice, newer players often pick soldier and simply do not yet know how to use heavy weapons effectively. On the other end of the spectrum, very low skilled players can end up hogging the panzer for multiple rounds, which can seriously hurt team progress and objectives. This is not meant as a criticism of newer players, but rather as a way to protect team balance and encourage learning of core roles before using high impact weapons. I am not sure what the right approach should be, but it feels like a problem worth discussing. Are there better ways to handle heavy weapon access without hurting new player experience? Interested to hear what others think. Just an idea for discussion.

morning, i just got kicked on frost. allies had cp, but it got destroyed. then i shot mortar close to cp, and got kicked for heavy weapon on spawn. 🤣 idk, maybe the protection zone stay's, if they have it once? or it's just a bug. guess more a report than a topic. ah right, when im here already; on operation, if you mortar the upper door from the building where the docs have to go. you also get a heavy weapon on spawn warning. not quite sure if that is intentional. (it's outside the marked zone) do with it what you like. im not very active here on forum anyway. thaaanks lezk

Hello, I see this gsound parameter as well on our server config (but it's empty), however I don't find this value used anywhere in the connection code, only reading levels and names as far as I see. To play sound, maybe just don't rely on shrubbot like you try, but call it directly yourself. Just add something like that near the welcome message print on the connect.lua part: et.trap_SendConsoleCommand(et.EXEC_APPEND, "playsound \"sound/world/player.wav\";") You can also play it only for a given player by specifying slot, e.g for player connecting on slot 5: et.trap_SendConsoleCommand(et.EXEC_APPEND, "playsound 5 \"sound/world/player.wav\";") Care about relative links. Also check server logs for any error reading the file (check path, permissions).

Yes, u opened tunnel doors on oasis map for allies playing as axis, u run thru ur teammates mines, u blocking paths for your teammates trying to play for objective and u pushing teammates inside spawn with no reason. You are absolutely useless as player and really annoying as human, so u r banned now.
