Hey guys,

today i started to record some battlefield 3 gaming with "Fraps".

Worked all fine.

When i start playen ET  later and start recording just like in bf3 it got very laggy(well not laggy, it was stutter?!?! )

does any of you know fraps and used it on et?

2nd prob is:

15 mins of recording are 25 GB !!!! avi data.

do you guys know a programm to compromise it?!

thx

It's rather recommended to use /autorecord and then /cl_avidemo with movie cfg. After doing that there are several ways to turn it into avi with better quality than videos made with Fraps.

As for compression, maybe try AVI ReComp.

hints:

FRAPS is a easy way to make a fine quality movie, but do not use fraps during game, only /record, after that open your Replay from game manu and you can use FRAPS then.

The best results to make a good quality movie is a little complicated, a good tutorial you'll find there: http://www.rydeath.com/movietut/

If you want a easy way to compress avi to other format you can use this: http://www.oxelon.com/media_converter.html
