Smirre
I think you have wrong resolution for et that your monitor cant handle: ...setting mode 9: 1600 1200 FS <--- means you try to set 1600 x 1200 as resolution Set that to your desktop max value: seta r_mode "-1"seta r_customheight "1050" <--- change to your desktop valueseta r_customwidth "1680" <--- change to your desktop valueseta r_fullscreen "1"seta r_displayRefresh "60" <--- change to your desktop value (set the refresh rate of monitor)
klokk
Aspect Ratio5:4 Native Resolution1280 x 1024 at 75.0 Hz You need bigger monitor to use such high resolutions. With this one 1280x1024 is max.

MagWAR
so if I wanted a better picture I would have to find a better monitor? would I need to folk out one for allot of money? any recommendations ?
miraro3
Not really, i don't feel like the resolution of the game makes a better picture. (I might just overlook it tho)Just set your res to the one your monitor can handle. IF you would want a big screen, wich is always nice to have. You can always go buy a 23" or higher from any multimedia store, 100-something pounds would get you something. All depends on how much money you want to spend, how big you want to go and what brand you prefer ^^
ketiv
if you want a better picture, our creature leaders should run server with HDET mod, its really kick game textures into a next graphics level http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/HDET_HighDefinition_Enemy_Territory;98233

Smirre
If you want better picture, make sure your monitor has lots of Hz in it. There are some HD flat screens that have over 100 Hz refresh rates, but i think they are expensive. That and ofc a HD video card is needed. Im not sure about that hdet thingy, it may cause you some lagging, but worth to try!
klokk
You can also get better picture just by modifing config.
miraro3
I think we have HDET running on our servers, it's just for the stock maps tho. And it has to be on the side of the client as well, i think!
AbsoluteZero
Where can you download HDET thats safe?

ketiv
as Smirre said, its only stock maps graphics improvement, I didnt notice any lags caused by that mod and remember to setseta r_detailtextures "1" in your config
