When closing ET

hey ,

 

i have my new computer and everytime i close ET my screen will stay black and i have to restart my computer...

 

 

it only happends with ET with nothing else im running et on a windows 7 64 bit 

 

 

any ideas ??

Have you tried alt+tab/windows key/ctrl+alt+del? Does that have any effect?

ctrl+alt+del makes me freeze in that window 

 

and alt+tab only works when i force close it when its minimized

1. try to disable  Antivirus or Firewall  (if you've got any..)

2. on game shortcut properties check:

-compatibility mode: WIndows XP

-disable desktop composition

-run as administrator

3. did you try to run ET with the same resolution as your desktop?

i tried option 1 and 2  and both didnt work 

 

havent tried 3 yet i will give that a go and see if it helps

I got the same problem sometimes. When you get the black screen, open console and typ /quit

You wont see the console opening but just imagine it does, and it will be fixed ( atleast it did for me )

Try to reinstall ET from a other source.

Update your graka.

Start ET as windows xp on compatibility.
