miraro3 Posted August 21, 2008 Report Share Posted August 21, 2008 a friend of my who quited wolfenstein bcaus he had connecting problem wants help whit it now he played under the name of 'raymann23' dunno if anyone knows him?evrytime he tries to connect he gets this error: 'failed pure server chek'he has Vista... maybe its the same prob rob had? can't remember it...any help? muppet? Founders MrMuppet Posted August 21, 2008 Founders Report Share Posted August 21, 2008 I think stringy had this once, told him to remove all his .tmp files and have a clear out of pk3 files he has downloaded from lots of servers, soundpacks, skins watermarks etc from his etmain folder.That worked for him.When running et in vista make sure he has an administrator account or right click the et icon on his desktop and run as administrator to allow the game full access.If still not working go to the et exe file inside the wolfenstein folder, right click, properties, compatibility and click run this program as windows xp service pack 2 mode.Make sure he is running 2.60b.
