Bumping here again.
Once again i would like to remind you to read first post on this topic when you post demos, many times the info is missing, so try to take the screenshot of the suspected player!
Even easier is if you have a log file. When ever you play et, it saves the whole console messages. The new etpub build will owerwrite the existing etconsole.log every time you start your et, so it saves just 1 session and therefore the file stays small.
To have this file, all you need to do is to add this line in your config:
seta logfile "1"
What it does:
1 = console logging + et crash logging
2 = console logging + et crash logging + stats dump, means that it creates a folder called stats and in there is stats as a txt file for each map.
When you do !userinfo xxx, it is saved in your etconsole.log and you can then search it easy by opening the file and pressing CTRL + F button, then a search box appears and you can type there word(s) to be searched (f.e. !userinfo xxx), then just copy and paste the info on the post with the demo of a suspected player.
See here:
Also notice that you can just save a text file, in case you think you might forget the userinfo later on, just type /condump somenamehere.txt (see the bottom of picture above) and it saves a single txt file in your etpub folder.
Here you can see the difference, which would you prefer to look out for userinfo:
^/Userinfo of user ^7HAX
^/Slot Number: ^d20 ^/ETPub Client: ^d20140820 OR MAYBE THIS?
^/GUID: ^dF63C6F6F
^/IP: ^d91.238.142.57:62049
^/MAC: ^d00:10:DC:30:E4:A2
A proper info saves a shit load of time and nerves from us admins!
Take a look how many info is missing so far and yet half is to be announced from what i did today. Couple of those did had info, but the image was so blurry, i couldn't figure out anything from the screenshot, so therefore i prefer the txt version: http://www.teammuppet.eu/home/index.php?/topic/6519-decisions/page-4#entry140151
Thank you for reading

Just awesome

Hello and welcome back to the gaming. Good that you found us.

Install older driver. Also try deleting etpub folder (save cfg). I'd try deleting folder first, if that wont work reinstall et and after that try the driver. And buy Ati next time

About the ebay link klokk posted, it says: "Buyer note:This item is only compatible with AMD cpu motherboard. It can not work in any intel cpu motherboard. Please make sure you buy a right item.If you are not sure, please contact us for help."
You really dont need yet new pc, if you just play et and so, that is more than enough for that like i said, just needs more memory.
You can also overclock it abit by installing MSI Afterburner program, but you need to be carefull with that.
-
You sure you checked the appdata folder? not the application data
Anyways if any of the etkeys isn't working, would've been worth to try the etkey in that location, but if it isn't there...
-
Check if your old etkey is located at c/users/username/appdata/local/punkbuster/et/etmain
Before you can check that path, you need to make hidden folders visible.

The info on that website is a little too low. I think it may fit, but "vdimm" is what concerns me. Also there is not said if those are non-ECC, un-buffered memory, which is important to know.
Otherwise Corsair is a well known product and has a high quality memory parts, just to mention.
Btw what power supply you have? That might need upgrading too if it is somewhat less than 400 watts or so.

4 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM slots Supports Dual Channel DDR2 800/667 MHz non-ECC, un-buffered memory (Max 8GB)
There you go: max 8 GB, get that if you can affort, type is 240-pin DDR2 800 OR 667 MHz non-ECC, un-buffered memory.
And if you get the max 8 GB, buy 2x 4GB sticks, so you can install it as dual-channel (works better), or 4 x 2 GB Sticks, which ever is cheaper.
Just look how it is installed now and put the sticks on same slots.
I bet your lag is because of low memory, if you have programs running on background...well you get the point
-
Depends what kind of games you want to play.
That card should be more than enough for ET and some older games, like cod, cs etc.
About the memory, would really need exact model of the motherboard, so you could google it and find the specs: how much memory it can handle and also what type of memory.
I think ddr3 is not an option here, but you propably will need to get ddr2, just the speed is important then also.

The device manager says all is updated no matter how old drivers you have Dont use that, but go to manufacturers site, search for the product and see if there is new drivers available. Check your gfx card what catalyst/driver version it has.
Here is your card drivers if you have win8 32 bits: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows%208%20-%2032
And here for 64 bits: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows%208%20-%2064

Try updating soundcard drivers. And put those soundmegs and everything else in the command line of your et shortcut, so then those works. Posted about it somewhere, but cant find it :/
