FPS problems

Heya,

 

Just installed Wolfenstein on my new pc (specs below) and got huge fps drops on outside bits of the map...

Any suggestions ?

 

Specs :

WINDOWS 7 64bit

CPU : Ivy i5 3570k, 3,4 ghz 
GPU : AMD radeon HD7770 2gb (GHZ edition) 
RAM : 8GB DDR3 
HDD : Western Digital Green 2TB 
Motherboard : ASUS P8B75-M LX PLUS 
Case : MS-TECH Stingray CA-0300NG

use just 1 core of your CPU for W:ET. the game has some probs with multi-core CPUs. also try running it in compability-mode for XP SP3 + run as admin. another problem may the RAM be, wolf:et can only handle 4 as far as i know. also try updating your sounddrivers.

while ingame press ctrl+alt+delete, it opens taskmanager, there under processes list right click mouse on et.exe, goto affinity and uncheck other than cpu0 box (or cpu1, which ever works best for you).

Download and unpack and copy the .dll in the directory where the .exe is, it's the opengl driver from catalyst 13.9 that works properly with older games.

This counts for all older opengl games, not just ET.
