bbryan Posted April 18, 2014 Report Share Posted April 18, 2014 so when i shut down my labtop i have to reinstall wolfenstein enemy territory and when i open it i have to make a new account even if i put in the same name i still have to start over my xp doesnt same. so if there is any thing that i can download to fix this problem. if etkey is what i need then can someone tell me how to use it. thanks for all of the help. naz Posted April 19, 2014 Report Share Posted April 19, 2014 i have a lot of problems with installin et as well.thats why i use and old et folder (no install) i found on an old external harddrive its probably 3-4 years old. but you can try that as well: install et copy the folder to somewhere else , deinstall et, add a new key to the folder you copied and try to run it from there. but no warranty that it will work Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jaden Posted April 19, 2014 Report Share Posted April 19, 2014 f*cking windows 98!!! its not a run through administrator problem is it? if i read that correctly, its windows XP? so i think there shouldnt be a problem with the UAC (user account control) looks like the game has a problem locating the installation folder, which should be a problem in the windows registry. either theres an entry left fking the installation up or the entry is completely missing (or partly missing) maybe this helps: open a command line -> regedit -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Activision -> Wolfenstein and check the file which name is "installaion path". change the path if needed then try again. if i still doesnt work, delete the whole entry and then reinstall the game, so the entry should be added automatically. ....if its no reg prob, i cant help you neither :/ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't recommend anything except this: http://wolffiles.de/filebase/ET/Full Version/WolfET_2_60b_custom_v101.zip or this http://et.trackbase.net/downloads/i1/ Uninstall ET and try one of these - they work for me on any Windows and install PB/etkey automatically.
