    That could be cool if we can setup an environment with a channel and maybe a forum if possible where we can share ideas and info as long as its cost free for the community I vote yes

    Well I ain't up to speed either.. years ago for me as well.. but I thought if we where a few that worked on it together with a realistic timeframe (we all have lives) we might come up with something useful while having some fun revisiting brushes, shaders, portals and scripts. 
    I made one for RTCW and one for ET (Alchemy Castle) and contributed to Operation Tower back in the Dark Alchemy days.

    Are you interested in a brainstorming sometime?

    1944 Huertgen Forest Final 2, Was it just me or did any one else notice both allied and axis spawing at tank start after it was repaired ?
    a coble of times I spawned (as Allied) there and got shot in the back by a freshly spawned enemy (Axis)

    Rules are simple. Two teams hiders and seekers. Hiders mission is to not be killed when time is up and seekers mission is to kill all hiders before time is up. You can hide to increase your chances to survive or just run fast. You have knife to protect yourself, syringe to heal other hiders who have been shot but not gibbed and medpacks to heal yourself. Once you are killed and gibbed you become seeker. Seeker has pistol with unlimited amount of bullets (but still needs to reload) and can respawn again if killed by hider or dead by falling/drowning etc. Any questions?

    To listen voice chat is 25% of the fun. Talking is the other 75% as you can taunt seekers or talk with other hiders. If you have any chance to buy even some potato-mic (5€ microphone from regular shop) it usually does the trick if your background noise is not thunderloud.

    It helps to look maps before as they are bit different from regular maps as some doors are not blocked off for example. Also practising some pistol shooting and fast jumping/running helps.  :)

    So as I understand server setting are made so you can't do something wrong?
    That was what i was afraid of last time where I didnt even was on Discord :D

    I can easily go and get a mic or a headset and i guess I should.

    I play on my custom workstation and it was never made/installed with sound and mic in mind and I have no mini jacks in the 19" Cabinet, so today i only have a Bose Soundlink Mini for sound via bluetooth.

    Can anyone recommend anything with bluetooth or USB so I don't have to take the rack apart to get to the mini jacks on the back?

  6. I was on a Hide and Seek Event a good half year ago, while it looked fun I did not fully understood the rules so I just hide myself and didn't dare to do anything else in case i broke the rules:mda:
    I want to join again, but this time around I want to be prepared..

    • Where do I find the rules for H&S Events?
    • Is it absolutely necessary to have mic. or would it be OK just to listen in? (I don't have mic at the moment)

    If it's any help..

    The first of this series of crashes happen on Gold Rush, just when the tank passed 1st barrier (when materials are supposed to disappear)
    Then it changed to Aldernest map and kept crashing a minute or 2 into the game, I left after some time so i'm not sure how it ended.

    I see your point but i guess you could say the same for engi, they cannot defend them self when planting but yeah anyways it just feels unfair.

  9. I know this was discussed before I even made my ET come back on your server and I can read you already decided on the subject.

    Anyway, just wanted to add that I also think the amount of HP an medic has is too much and is sometimes the reason I log off as its too difficult to be an Objective Player (e.g Engineer).
    I know it's down to teamwork, but that's not always happening and when you constantly run into medics with 30 some HP more than you, the fun starts to wear off.

    Where does it actually come from that medics have 156HP or how much it is, wasn't that normally 140 as I remember it? Was that a part of Legacy when that was developed? I'm still catching up on what happened the last 10+ years :)

    The map and spawn times are ran from the map.cfg, every map has its own cfg that controls these as no one wanted to play default map and spawn times, this overrides any map script as it is the last file loaded on map startup, if the cfg is removed then the map would run the times from the previous map. The map cfg's also controls the amount of say flamers or cov ops depending on the map running and the default.cfg controls certain cvar's such as rate and maxpackets.

    Well there we go, thanks for the explanation.
    I guess its natural as a lot of other things has changed that you would need to adjust for that on map/spawn times etc.  as the maps and scripts was made for standard ET setup.

    So no easy solution for this then.

    I looked through the script and nothing seems to be wrong, personally i would probably have added the time extension in the game_manager instead of scattered around in the script but it should still work as is. I also see the Time extended text in-game so clearly the lines are read.

    What does the Server consol say when time is extended?
    Has it been testet on a non-legacy server?  Just thinking that Legacy could overrule the timing somehow?

  13. Hi All, (My First post)
    After a 13 year break from RtCW/ET, I have been enjoying myself playing (and dying :)) on the your Legacy server for the last couple of weeks now, cheers for that.

    The server says to report any issue with the latest version so here is a few from me.

    1. The server crashed some days ago and ever since myself and I noticed a few others are not getting any SR or it stays at 0.00 ?
    Even its a nice cover of how bad I am, is there a way to fix it?

    2. When I do a /devmap of one of my own maps. (Have not yet tried with a pk3)

    • Sound missing when picking up Ammo from cabinet.
    • Sound and Exp. Animation missing from nades (They still hurt)
    • Could be more, as I have only tested this alone

    If I remove the 2 downloaded files, issue 2 is back to normal

    Yeah I know.. I shouldn't use the same installation for mapping as i use for playing :)
