Safe nerves, delete mortar.
And remove medic class together with mortar…

Mmm, playing FPS but being an pacifist at the same time… That’s a first for me.
But when I’m in the mood for non-killing objective gameplay I always fire Stardew Valley up.
All the pleasures of objective play yet no killing done.
(No, I’m not being sarcastic). -
Played Bremen mostly as Allies but with all the chokepoint advantages for axis I’d say getting the truck itself should be considered an miracle 😋. Only if axis are crowded with Rambo medics allies stand a chance.

The same settings with fewer players and smaller maps. With heavy weapon limitations to just 1 of each. Perhaps nerf the power of mortar and tube. Just don’t limit the rnades 🙈🙈

Why are we even having these discussions is the real question. The rules are far to specific and difficult. And, as the past showed, they are wide open for discussion or at least fun for some to seek up the edges just for fun of pissing on players

I would like to see it changed, but I see the pro vs cons.
i notice for myself that I stopped playing more and more as, on the one side, most medics are rambo and, on the other side, it are the same 4 fecking maps over and over again…
If SR or other ‘scores’ are responsible for that it should go imho… but then again who am I?

I think the weapon limitation is one of the reasons why etl2 is less populated then etl1

Lowering rnades oke, but only if the medics cannot pickup their own medkits. Perhaps they will help the engy with Thompson somewot more 😁

What will happen is that people will deliberately not vote so they can force through the map they want later. Ultimately it will result in every map choice coming down to one or a few players with 'heavy votes,' creating nothing more than a rotating dictatorship.

Out of the box thought: the lesser someone votes the heavier his/her vote counts when she/he votes? So if I don’t vote for 5 rounds my vote counts for 3 or 4?

I always vote for lesser known or unknown maps, but kids only want to play what they know… There are so many maps on rotation with catchy names that sounds very exciting but we still end up with the same 5 maps…

I was thinking about a "paintball" event: One shot one kill, and shots would be affected by gravity, basically falling down quicklyOr a second possibility: Like in Call of Duty "One in the chamber", a free-for-all, one ammunition in the pistol that would be 100% lethal. In case of a kill, +1 ammo
Still trying to sort out handmade scripts… to no avail atm.

As far as I can see, there’s a timetable for promotion but the opinion of admins counts aswel. Let’s say you think that a player/member is doing a great job ask other admins/players for their opinion. Activity, helping others and more are the key ingredients. That’s what I made from it.

The diagrams on the forums and the changes to the in-game maps MUST be consistent otherwise we now have two potentially conflicting rules.
Thus use the same for both forum and server. Again, in the old dayz we had that on our server aswel. The map was redrawn with the colored areas (square) as guidance and the same image was used on the forum to point it out.

That's easier said than done with some maps having truly awful uh.. maps, but it would be nice for everyone to have an easy reference at the push of a button.
I am very much in favour of this change, especially now we're getting an influx of new players.
This kind of drawing is very unclear, just use squares to point out where what is forbidden. (You don’t have to blok the entire square and use high contrast colors as yellow sucks.) Downloading the maps again ain’t a problem these days imho as the dl speeds are fine and most maps only take a few secs to obtain.
