well since our jaymod it seems to be dieing its hard for me to play on our nd server i have a spikes of lags during fight most off the time and end up dead witch leave me to quit the server fast any help or suggestions r welcome

Joke lol, the server hasn't been the same since the IP change when it comes to ping and lag spikes. People just don't capture it (although some try) and it doesn't get reported outside of moaning at the time. Can't tell you how many times I jump back ten feet, press TAB and see 3 or 4 unrelated people have 2-3x higher pings.

do you have threaded optimization enabbled on yor vid card? if so turn it off.

Also when you notice the lag spikes open taskmanager and see wich programs use cpu.

Please provide a traceroute when you are lagging, you complain about lag on the Jaymod and on the etpub, both are in different locations indicating this is either your connection or your computer.

Here's a link to a "how to" on how to perform the "Trace Route" in windows 7, and also how to give it to MrMuppet:

Where it says "tracert PassionateAboutIT.net" you should replace "PassionateAboutIT.net" with the IP of the ET-server.

So if you want to check/ do a "tracert" on the jaymod server then you should write "tracert 109.70.149.30:27960".

If I understand it correctly, it checks whether you are lagging, or the ET-server is lagging.

 

Bonus info I personally hate these sometimes meaningless shortenings, so here's what "tracert" is short for:

It's supposedly short for "Trace Route". So some "smart" person decided to shorten "Route" with "rt". Oliveira, lets make a pact and kill him in our next life?

I don't know, I guess I would have made it "tracer" or tracerou". ..If I ever pronounce "tracert" again then I'm going straight to the hospital.
