Please, no. Just no. These are exactly the lame maps that we fought to remove from the server a couple of months ago because they kept killing it.

I'd like to just quickly add my 2 cents here. Please, leave weird, custom, big-ass maps (like baserace) for nitmod, jaymod and other weird mods. Just like the legacy mod itself, this server should remain pure and simple. That's what I like about it and I'm sure that's what many players like and it's the reason they keep playing there. The simplicity and pureness. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't add new maps at all and play supply and grush all the time, but there should be more thought put before adding maps that were just removed.

  2. Legacy's hitboxes are the same size as etpro's , with the exception of body hitboxes starting at the shoulder level, instead of the head level. So if you miss head in legacy, you don't get any hit at all. If you miss head in etpro, you still get a body hit.

As for the antilag, legacy implemented part of etpro's antilag (Zinx etpro antiwarp).

In the past i used to play with campaign xp save (Cyber mentioned about it) and kinda liked it. After all, I would not make such big changes.

I played on ETPub XP save server ~12 years ago when I was around 13-14 years old. At that time I enjoyed collecting my XP. Well, guess what? I'm not 14 anymore ;)

If populating the server was the objective, it's done and I'm pretty sure these players won't go anywhere soon, because so many others factors were responsible for TM success - the biggest being it being the only really popular pub server running Legacy due to amazing and long term work of admins. Restricting it to XPsave is kinda degrading towards them I'd say.

If we're talking about "4 level skills for everyone" (XP save never fully worked on TM legacy server due to broken lua), then I agree 100% with Spyhawk. People, including TM members, have to understand that it's not the settings that made this server popular. Ironically, the server became popular while the settings on the server were still pretty shitty. Look how many changes were made during past months thanks to ideas and suggestions brought up here by players and members. Did people complain? No, the server became even more popular than before. I think it's mainly the ET: Legacy project itself and great effort to keep this server alive for many years and promote it that made it as popular as it is now.

  4. Why would even a grown-up human being want to collect XP on a server? Sounds like a kids' thing.

The only thing that one should collect is skills throughout the campaign, but that's kind of out of question on our server, because you start with all skills at level 4.

On top of that, now you can work on your Skill Rating, which is a better indicator of your "skill" than XP.

Did it end already? I was there first time 4 hours ago and server was empty. Now I rejoin and server is still empty... :o

Yeah, first you were too early and then too late :D It took place while you were absent.

I have to admit, I had quite a lot of fun during this event and I will definitely join again if it gets organized in the future. I think we should have a Hide 'n Seek event once or twice a month ;)

  6. It's a known issue on the server, admins have been trying to fix it for some time now. It's something related to ET: Legacy that's causing it, although nobody has figured out yet the reason behind it, I think. The problem reappears from time to time.

So, to answer your question, there's nothing that you can do about it.

  7. Running a second legacy server would be a difficult and important decision - on one hand, you have a full and even over-crowded one legacy server so there's the possibility that players will split between two servers and TM will have instead two half-empty servers.

On the other hand we should take into consideration the possibility that with legacy becoming more and more popular, players will start populating other ETL servers. So the question is whether the admins want to keep the one server nice and full or take the risk and start populating a second server before new players start filling other servers that belong to competition, which for now remain empty.

    Hello

nice works guys , there something annoying me as covert ops,

the granades, granade luncher and bazooka are over power, and it’s affect on covert ops are great , there is no escape from it , specially for covert ops,

and the fag took too much time to reload and it have only 20 bullets , that’s makes it very weak specially against the 30 round super nurses weapon .

satchel are very weak in relevant to granades

pls try to modify this at least for while and I am sure it will be more fun and balance between categories

    thanks

First of all, FG-42 is incredibly overpowered in legacy, probably there was something done to it in comparison to vanilla ET. It's ridiculous how a covert ops with FG-42 can outpower a medic with 156 HP.

Secondly, grenades, rifle grenades, and all explosives' damage is not something a server admin can modify. It's a mod issue. That being said, it's true that explosives' damage  is significantly overpowered and it will be reduced in the next version of legacy (2.77): https://dev.etlegacy.com/issues/1172 - you can check it out here.
