Map Downloading so long

I don't know why but i make to much time to download few maps.

Around 5 or 6mins.

My connection is pretty good so..

Do you have enabled http download in game ? It will make download much faster

i do not know if i have similar issue but my download speed is limited to 1MB/s and this is only happening in ET

I'm sure the maps are here on forums or elsewhere online. Not saying that it's the best solution, but if you get stuck on download like that, it might be faster to just look it up online, download out of game and then rejoin. I've done that recently for one map, not sure which though.

There is cvar (do not remember which one) to allow http download in game, it is faster, without it you are downloading from game server directly which has limited bandwidth

cl_wwwDownload is 1 on my config and it still only downloads at 1.3 megabits/s.

I think it only works if the server is set to send an external (http) server location for the map files. And, even if it is, most servers now shunt all http traffic to https and I don't think the client supports that.

Strange for me is about 32Mbits/s so about 4MB/s
