How are PP any different? Players with high PP are still the ones who live on the server. I miss my 1 million XP...

I remember like 5 years ago on etpub, the ATB auto balancing kept on moving me, cuz I had highest player rating... Seems et legacy doesn't like me either and always moves me as well, regardless of who joined the team last... Even drove me so mad back then, I wrote a lua script that would move the player to have joined the team last, except if that player was moved before by this system... Can we get this back? Pretty please??

Just purely out of interest, is there any reason you guys are not placing the server on a dedi-box? It should be cheaper and easier to manage.

Play using 2.60d. It's the intel variant of ET for mac. ETPub for one does support the morons, who spend money on apple products. ETPro doesn't!

make a file named autoexec_default.cfg. It is execed every map (in etpub, not sure about etpro)

create a new user profile

delete C:\path\to\ET\etpub\profiles\yourprofile\etconfig.cfg

iirc gtkradiant does that for you. A .pk3 file is nothing more than a zip file, so it just bundles all the files necessary for the map. Open some other map.pk3 with 7zip (or any other zip program) and check out the structure. Map .pk3 files should contain a .map file, a .bsp file, sound files, texture files, .script files. To compile gtkradiant, install scons, and run scons in the directory where youve downloaded gtkradiant, but if youre not used to compiling programs yourself youre gonna need a lot of google.

Well, I've never worked with mac-radiant, but in linux (and windows), during install it asked for the directory where ET was installed. After that, new maps would be automatically added in the etmain directory. Maybe you should try downloading and compiling GtkRadiant yourself? I don't see the issue... GtkRadiant works for windows, linux and mac, so making maps for ET shouldn't be a problem

A dedicated box is a server where you have full access to. It's like a personal computer, but in a data center, without all the peripherals users need.

no need to try and run ETDED.exe, since it starts a dedicated server, which you dont rly need...

getting 12/12 players to play at the same time is impossible... how about making teams of 8-9 players, and letting the available players play...
