There is a temporary ban for some people on the NQ server this will soon be rectified.

Ibex, Your last post was not deleted by me; it was deleted by the armature hacker. Regarding Puppet, he gained access to the admin control panel via Donalds account, he then set up a hotmail account in my name and changed my password via that, he then logged in has me set up a new founder account under Dealthstar’s account and then removed me as founder. Between this he deleted all the forums posts, limited people’s accounts and deleted the forum backup, having admin access he read the post on the change of rcon password for the server and then using remote rcon set upon bring the server down and banning players ip’s. This was quite clever “FOR HIM” fortunately I keep backups of everything to my computer including forum downloads. I now hope you are not that naive has to not believe what everyone has been telling you, he was caught cheating in the past and banned, I have proven he has cheated on our server only a couple of months ago and there is strong belief he has done this again. This is a person who you do not know personally. Below are abstracts from an email he sent to me; “ I understand that people think I cheat for starters I did cheat three years ago I stopped after I was kicked out of OMP after the first warning OMP went down it started again by then I had stopped cheating. I joined OMP again with a different name hoping i could clear myself sadly I still had some traces of the hack i did not know of so were detected by Punk Buster I therefore deleted it and continued playing a few weeks later I was warned by Donald i explained I did cheat but I have stopped. I know the incident with me and Winston was very stupid and immature but I did not insult 007 in any way as you can ask him or even yet check the logs you will see I unbanned myself using RCON because I was sad enough to be banned for nothing but a tag.” Below is a copy of the email I sent to him when I found out he had been cheating on our server; "I have been through the server log and read all the commands and comments. Guys, Sorry but the backup of the database I had, was from the 1st of June which means we have lost some posts. I formally declare that the post for a total ban on Puppet has been passed, he is now banned from the forums and will be banned on the game servers when I have time to work on this, the rcon password has been changed so there will be no more cheating from him on that score. Just uploaded the cfg from the old nq server so all levels should be the same now as before.

Right guys, 85.234.149.101:27960 is now running on etpub a mirror of 85.234.148.3:27960 excluding the muppet skin, all xp is the same as of last night, some time tonight i will swap 85.234.148.3:27960 over to noquarter and install the bots. I finally gave up on the hosts being able to get NQ and bots running so I swapped this to etpub with bots on my own and as I have had NQ running on the 85.234.148.3 server before this will only be a startline edit and server cfg change. Update, Both servers are now running and all redirectional files are working.

Yes and no, it depends what you want doing, certain cvars can be removed or altered from the actual game cfg, other things can be regulated by pb. Check out the manual; http://www.evenbalance.com/publications/et-ad/index.htm There is a difference between tweaks and cheats. Some people define tweaks has their preference of game play eg cg_fov 90 - 110 this simply cvar changers you field of vision i.e. see further into the distance or further to the sides, this is restricted to 90 - 140 at the moment. Depending on what size and aspect of monitor you are using will give you a different vision of the surroundings. Type the command cg_fov 140 or any number between 90 and 140 and see the difference. The side and up/down settings can be changed via the bob commands but again these are in a pre defined range; pb_sv_cvar cg_bobup in 0 0.005 pb_sv_cvar cg_bobpitch in 0 0.002 pb_sv_cvar cg_bobroll in 0 0.002 These can be tightened to accommodate. If there is something that you want changing that you think is being exploited then let me know and I'll look at it.

These are the additional comands that we used on the old NQ server which are from clanbase, if they pass for the compotitions they must be adequate. 5. I'm still waiting on this to be done, I have told them that its a start line command that is wrong that is stopping them from running 0.61 with NQ and nothing else. I just wished they would get thier control panel software finished! The server is password protected for the time being whilst we work on it.

Well, I have had this server nearly a month now and its still not working, in fact its no way near ready now, they have removed my 0.61 omnibot and replaced it with 0.60 because they said the server would'nt run with the 0.61 version, that is because they have now changed the server to etmain and not NQ. So at the moment it is running etmain with omnibots, wrong mod and wrong version of omnibot. The problem with these guys is there is no control panel to edit files and every thing is done via ftp and rcon which is ok but when I need to edit the start line this has to be in linux or windows puts in extra characters, if I make a mistake and the server wont restart there is no way of me restarting this via rcon because the server is not running to be able to reboot. So up to yet the server has not been used, the host has a good low ping server, excellent web hosting for file downloads and a great offer of a main server plus a free match server and a 30 slot ts2 server all for less than anyone else charges for just one server but thier support is shite and until they get a web based control panel it will contiue to be.

Hi mate, I'm working on this now. I dont know what files this is that we require, the server host just had to enable bots on the server from thier end, I had done all the installs and scripts, when they did this and it did'nt work I asked them to relook at this, they have now done a new install and have some how set the game type omnibot:etmain. This has wipped out what I hade done and am now looking at this agin, I first have to install linux to edit the server start line before I can work on the omnibot issue.
