latest update,

DOWNLOADED UPDATE  2.79.0, dragged and dropped into start menue ET icon but didnt install update. now each game takes 20 minutes to download then asks for xmas pk4. How do I fix this  ?  Update.. now the update setup window opened and I followed the setup but the start menu programme info for ET still says old 8 version..Now worked for a few games  but now again asking for update of 33 meg then xmas pak

I dont understand all what u writed but you may start for downloading https://teammuppet.com/home/files/file/368-tm-2021-xmas-theme/ that and put that into your legacy folder.it contains thatxmas pk4.

When I downloaded the xmas pak i went to install it  on the installer window but got this message.

It's pointing to the wrong folder so it doesn't see any pk3 to load up? C:\Users\Donald\AppData\Local\Temp/etmain The / is the wrong way around at the end. At least I assume that's your issue.

was working after updete then after 3 games im back to 33meg updete which ends in xmas pak4 the / is from the ET download????

Using 2.6b or legacy client?

Save your etkey and etconfig before trying anything else. You can find these from C:\Users\xxx (your username)\Documents\ETLegacy. Etkey is under etmain, etconfig is under legacy. You'll need these later.

 

Now, if you are using a Legacy client:

-> Navigate to C:/Program files (x86)/ETLegacy

-> Open "uninstall.exe" and uninstall the whole game. It will ask whether all user files should be removed -> remove all.

-> Download the latest release from https://www.etlegacy.com/

-> Install the game and launch it.

-> Move the saved etkey and etconfig to the previous locations. Replace the ones already there.

 

Try the game now. It will have to download every .pk3 again but this time there should not be any issues. If there are, let us know.
