I've never played Hydro Dam but this for whoever does the server/map settings ... It's possible to set a time limit with a server side cvar. Now it's easier to run the map either in stopwatch mode or in a campaign. See "Setting a time limit" for more information. A time limit can be set to 20,25,30,45 or 60 minutes. This is controlled by a cvar "hydro_timelimit" which can be set on the server. "sets hydro_timelimit 45" for example, sets the time limit to 45 Minutes. When the limit is reached, the winning team is chosen randomly (not in Stopwatch mode). Setting the cvar to any other value than the ones I've listed above will disable the timelimit. The timer will start at 666 minutes but the map won't end until one team finishes it. If you don't want a timelimit, there's nothing to do for you Unless I've missed something that is 3 seconds of research lol. 45 minutes is still a long long time, but it's not indefinite. It does no harm in substituting maps for other versions. People won't leave if we get rid of Goldrush, Battery, Fueldump, Radar or Railgun for other versions. The whole point is to get an idea and try different maps on the main server. I'd support getting rid my most favourite maps in favour of trying alternate versions of classic boring maps. On a personal note I'm not sure if it was at the event but Phoenix's Radar? Where you had to guide the truck after capping the parts, it had a tank etc etc. I liked that version. He made a special post on these forums somewhere and we got rid after trying it for a couple days on beginners a year ago.
