    It's time for the super secret super fun event! The hint was in the name:hi:

    This event has something for everyone depending on what map get's voted for during the intermission. Wanna panzawar? Vote for a map for it. Wanna ting some helmets? Vote for it. Fancy yourself a pro at rifle tennis? Swing away. Stabby stabby? You know what to do. But ... what is Baserace? Or Golden Dunk!?  Or ... or Pacman!? The clue isn't in the name Charlie! :secret:

    Alcohol, sun loungers and Discord all required! The server is up and running now and using the Pub mod.

  2. Happy July everyone! You know the drill by now. Please pick what maps you would like to see added to the server and what maps you'd like to see removed.

    On this vote I will be adding different themes of certain maps like you guys voted for previously. Right now I will only remove Radar and Fueldump, and add Radar Summer and Fueldump Desert and see how that goes. If they are liked and work well then I'll look at other maps such as Supply, Aldernest and Railgun. I don't know right now if other maps on the server have "summer" themes.

    We removed Italy due to the server crashes several months ago but the map may not have been the cause. If it is voted to be added and it does indeed crash the server it will be removed once again.

    Cluedo won't have flame enabled for obvious reasons lol.

    Helm's Deep has some "new" and "never before seen" additions to an ET map. It's worth noting - I don't know how this will effect things as it is built in to the pk3 and isn't a script, so if it is voted for please let us know of any issues. It's like Praetoria but the team get buffs basically.     Patrol Points:
    ---------------------------------------

    In various stages of the map are what are called Patrol Points (or
    PP for short).
    A PP is a designated zone that a certain team / class combination
    must remain in for a given length of time to enable additional
    benefits for their team.

    The time to enable a PP, and how long that PP stays enabled for,
    varies, but is clearly defined. Players enabling a PP will be told
    how long it takes to enable, and the whole team is alerted when a
    PP is enabled, disabled, and when it's about to run out.

    PPs are identified by a striped border around them.
    The class and team combination required to activate the PP will be
    shown on the wall within the PP itself.
    The icon indicates what class is required, and the icons correspond
    exactly to the icons for class selection in the limbo screen, but
    are detailed here:

    Helmet        = Soldier
    Cross        = Medic
    Bullet        = Field Op
    Target        = Covert Op
    Spanner        = Engineer

    The colour of the striped zone marker and the class icons indicate
    what team can activate the patrol point:

    Red        = Axis
    Blue        = Allies
    Grey / yellow    = Either team

    So, for example, a blue cross means that only an Allied Medic can
    activate the patrol point.

    PPs are marked on the Command map.
    The effects gained from enabling a PP are varied, and stated at
    the time of activation.

    Special in-game effects:

    Axis Patrol Points:

    Axis has a medic-only PP located under the mountain next to the
    ramp. It takes 10 seconds to enable, and changes the Axis' spawn
    time from 20 to 15 seconds. It lasts for 2 minutes.

    Allied Patrol Points:

    Allies have a medic-only PP located in the halls under the Fort.
    It takes 10 seconds to enable, and unlocks the health cabinets
    dotted around the map for 2 minutes.

    Allies have a field-op-only PP located in the second level of
    the tower. It takes 10 seconds to enable, and unlocks the ammo
    cabinets dotted around the map for 2 minutes.

    The Horn of Helm Hammerhand:

    The Horn (located at the top of the tower) can be blown by the
    Allied team only.
    There are no limits to the number of times you can blow the Horn,
    although you cannot blow it more frequently than once every 2
    minutes.
    The Horn's effect is more powerful the longer you leave it between
    blowing it. It has 5 distinct levels, and it 'charges up' levels
    every 2 minutes.
    The effects are:
    Level 1 - Allies get instant respawn for 10 seconds.
    Level 2 - As level 1 and Allies also get super-fast recharge for 10 seconds.
    Level 3 - As level 2 and mortar fire sweeps acros the valley.
    Level 4 - As level 3 and health / ammo cabinets are unlocked for 2 minutes.
    Level 5 - As level 4 but effects last for 15 seconds instead of 10 and there's
            an additional wave of mortars.

     

    Depending on where the votes go, 2 or 3 will be added and removed. Map links to Trackbase in the spoiler below. Added Raid and Raiders below too, it gets confusing with similar names.

  3. I don't think we'll add Minas again, at least not atm. Yeah I know it's the best map in ET :( 

    Helms Deep / Glider / Baserace / Italy / V2 Factory / Industry 2 / marrakesh 1 or 2 / millenium falcon / huertgen forest could go to the next poll. Does @BladeWarrioR want Cluedo? :D 

    Does Baserace = a silly map? So you either have that OR Golden dunk. Don't want to have too many silly ones, we have Nitmod for that lol.

    Gimme maps you want to see removed too.

  4. Getting an early start on this bad boy. Post here or let admins know what maps you would like to see added to ETL1, or what maps you can't stand and want removed forever and ever. You guys have listed like 50 maps today you'd like to see so remind me here ;) Remember a map must have waypoints to be viable! Don't forget you can suggest changes to spawn times or map length or weapon limits or whatever too. I'll make a poll in a week or so with all your suggestions so make it count :)

    Make sure you give your input here in the coming week as I will include map variations in the next map poll if you guys approve it, which right now it looks like I will.

  5. Just a quick one! Would you guys like to see different versions of the same map depending on the time or year?

    Radar Summer / supply desert / fueldump z or fueldump desert and so on in the summer.

    Halloween maps for ... halloween.

    Winter themed maps for winter.

    You get the idea. These would replace maps already on the server and won't be additions on top of them, so don't worry there won't be ANOTHER goldrush added lol :D So you would, for example, see the Supply we know and love removed and changed to a version like that desert version.

    Anyone else experience this? Are you sure it's when someone connects? Is it only when the server is full or all the time? It it only on ETL1 or does it happen on ETL2 too? Has it been since the last Legacy update we did?

    Does anything unusual appear when you go in command prompt and type "tracert legacy.teammuppet.com"? (Without the " ")

    I'm hopeless with this stuff but I guess the more details the better. I can't say I have experienced this, or noticed it anyway.

  7. Ruins of Acquiesce (how do you even say that?) / Castle Attack / Saberpeak removed.

    Warbell / Golden Dunk / Lighthouse added.

    2 things to note for you guys!

    Warbell: Instead for the final objective Axis just bum rushing to be sacrificed, you instead need to take 3 obj that look a lot like gold crates from the cp area to the sacrifice room instead. I guess the devil needs his gold too huh?

    Golden Dunk: 10 minute chill map with 10s spawn times! Get fragging! If you want class restrictions lifted, or times changed or something let me know.

  8. MLB Temple, Western and ET Beach have been removed.

    Subway, Transmitter and Castle Attack have been added.

    Let us know if spawn times need adjusting or a script isn't working as intended.

    It was mentioned tonight about V2 Base spawn times being too in favour for Axis. The spawn times for the map are:

    set g_useraxisrespawntime 14
    set g_useralliedrespawntime 10

    Let us know if it needs adjusted.

    ET Beach has been removed due to the the constant spawn killing and the baby sitting a TM member has to do to prevent this. Until we can work something out this map won't be added back to the server.
