The admins had a chatter and we took our time looking in to this. We checked the logs spanning roughly an hour as well as a demo and come to our conclusion. Pharaoh you did indeed spawn kill and Jess took appropriate steps to stop something as devastating as a mortar sking. Before being kicked you were warned 4 times to stop your spawn killing and in my books that is quite generous.

You then come back to the server later on and complained in main chat, something which we highly discourage. Jess requested you come to the forums but you continued in main chat, complaining and disrespecting an admin. We understand you were upset but this isn't acceptable. We much prefer issues be brought to the forums like you have eventually done.

Please note one of the rules on the server: "NO insulting, disrespecting or swearing! This will result in a !mute/!kick/!ban without being warned beforehand." This led to your second kick.

We encourage you to check the rules regarding heavy weapons spawn kill if you intend to use the mortar again Pharaoh. In brief, this is from the rules page on the forums, that last part applies to you.

We did used to have glass roofs on certain maps (Oasis springs to mind) and it may very well be something we want to include again. I'm honestly not sure if we have any on the maps right now. We do have glass walls on some maps though. The second version where it pushes said players away sounds too intrusive on the gameplay in my opinion, but that's without seeing it or testing it. It would have to be on something very specific and not just the general spawn area on goldrush for example, I think.

I'll see what the admins say and we'll get back to you on it all. Personally, I'm impressed by it all  

Honestly it's easy enough getting 20 xp in light weapons - it takes less than 1 map of playing any class. Yeah it sucks to have half the ammo some others might have but you can quickly change that. I would keep it as it is and I'm someone that misses my levelled up skills when I join.

It's a rough time for everyone at the moment and I sympathise with what you're going through. Sometimes we have to let off steam, but not in that manner. You ban was only for 1 week and it expired yesterday I think, so you're free to rejoin on our servers again.

I'm really not the best player in the world but it's been ages since I didn't goof around or chatter for half the map or something. I figured I might do alright when I concentrated. No. Just no. I get my ass handed to me on a plate over and over again lol. It can be a steep learning curve playing there, at least I think it is, but that's why I like it. It's a challenge  I actually had to do exec charlie.cfg the other day and stop using the standard ET cfg

I had a look at the logs and the things that were said aren't tolerated on TM servers. At all.

I understand stress is running high atm with things going on in the real world and people say things they might not usually. I also acknowledge you aren't the kind to get in to trouble but this kind of stuff gets clamped down on. Hard. I'll lift your ban @entranced, but please remember comments like that aren't accepted here. Don't get involved like that thinking it's smart or funny and instead report it to us.

Yeah I remember it on Pub ... I think. Moving the truck on goldrush was a nightmare.

Tried to talk to this SPAWN twice and he disconnected both times. Awesome. When I get a hold of him next time I'll direct him to these forums, if that doesn't work then

Aaaaaand caught him. Banned for 1 day and requested he come to the forums.

Admins can use commands to move you around team, disorient you, freeze you and so on. But we can't actually take control of you like you're asking

There's no "auto space". You can stay waiting for a revive all map technically. While you didn't see anything, someone must have damaged you further as you waited for you to then be gibbed. With ff being on and with so many online a lot can happen that you might miss.

Imagine right. When you accumulate a number of PP you can go in to a little online store and buy a new slightly different skin or something. Wanna logo up your uniform with <=TM=>? Yes please. Want a pink helmet? Sure. A panza that looks like a sausage? Go for it. You want to do a "Wilhelm scream" when you die? Why not. The possibilities are endless  

In all seriousness I like the sounds of it. Levelling skills gives me something different to do instead of playing the same 2 classes each map. It might not be everyone's cup of tea though.

Sorry guys for the late reply. I literally put the new maps on a Legacy server that isn't even online by accident and had to dip out for work til now. I'll sort it out this week, I think.

Cathedral, Cortex and Goldrush SW will be added.

There's 27 maps in the /etmain directory but it's been so long since I've did maps I don't know if I can add 4 without removing any to hit the 31 limit, or if maps not included in etmain are included in this count too. For example Radar, Fueldump, Railgun and GR .pk3 aren't in etmain but are on the server, so are there actually 31 maps and I'm at the limit or only 27?

Basically I'm playing it safe and removing one to add one, cos Eagle will shout at me if I break the server and I'm due to do that at some point. It's been a while  

Hey all.

At the beginning of January I'm sure everyone noticed a couple of crashes on our legacy server. We checked the game logs and server logs but we didn't know whats was causing it. We tried to move the game server to a different/new installation; we applied the latest OS updates; we disabled our custom LUAs and all of this without fixing the problem. The server kept crashing almost every day for an unknown reason.  After a long and really careful investigation, and with really close cooperation with the ET:Legacy development team, we noticed what was connecting all of the crashes together.

We found out someone was able to kill/crash the server but we had no idea how he was doing it. We had an "information embargo" and kept quiet about what we found. We created a trap which redirected this person to a second server running in debug mode. Then the ET:Legacy dev team done awesome work and found what was causing the crashing and created the fix. We applied the fix and from then on the server is stable and working as it was previously.

We honestly need to thank all the time and work Mr, Mini, Eagle and the Legacy devs put in to fixing this.

At the start this person joined our Legacy server, played some games and had a chit-chat with a few our valued players. He realised that his server is nearly empty for the vast majority of the day and he probably wanted to get some players from our server, which is currently most played Legacy mod based server.
