fleshpulse
This may be a little off topic, but don't forget to make sure your routers are secure too, especially if you have upgraded to openwrt or ddwrt or something similiar. While going through my logs on my firewall I noticed several hits on some specific ports. When I returned the favour and attempted to connect to them I was let right into a busybox shell on several routers. Seems it's automated malware that spreads through unsecured routers, probably utilizing the cgi-bin exploit or other ones that have been uncovered. If someone wants to discuss linux security in another thread I would be happy to

miraro3
A simple antivirus like microsoft essentials would work just fine i reckon.Scan your computer from time to time with Malwarebytes and clean other stuff up with CCleaner and you should be fine

Charlie
Yeah, all I use is CCleaner and Spybot Search and Destroy, and be careful where my porn takes me. My Webroot virus protection expired like 2 years ago heh.
Destroy666
CCleaner and Vit Registry Fix every 2 weeks - 1 month, Malwarebytes every 2-4 months and even rarer AVG. I feel the last 2 are redundant though, haven't found anything except few tracking cookies and false reports on trusted cracks yet.
