Well gaining xp is really easy at the etl server. Even I got it done in like 3 hours, and I am really bad at this game so for most it should be done in like 1 hour?

Again, i would really like it but in no way im offended if someone thinks its lame or not suited for the server

Thanks for the reply, and as I stated no doubt you really thought this one over but it just was a tad annoying. when I see that message I usually jump to the other team but (thank gawd) there is only one me 😱. no need to change it for me but I just noticed it.

Just an quick question: how long does autobalance take to move an player. Today on several maps one team lost(or the other team gained) 2 or 3 players. It takes a few secs before the first notice pops up and then it takes another -what, like 20- secs to actually put a player to another team. And the enemy gains so much ground we actually lost a game several times due to that. no doubt it took you guys n gals a long time to set the current time but imho it’s a tad long.

Let me explain why; I teamkill so many peeps that I really am ashamed sometimes, giving some comfort in the form of beer rather then ‘Sorry’ I hope that I will be forgiven. And yes, when I accidentally kill a lot teammates I do switch to an safe class like medic or spectator 🤣

I really don't know if its possible (or wanted) on the server but back in the days (many moons ago) on our server we had the !beer command. What it did was quite funny, you typed !beer [playername] and the console would give [player_who_typed_!beer] gives [playername] a glass of beer. Would that be an option or should i just shut up

Computers in 2003 could hardly run this game but i feel your pain. If i had to look deep into my heart i find the original maps most fun to play 2 especially railgun but with 20vs20 thats not really an option anymore these days.

Thanks for the insights. The game is just 3 or 4 weeks on my rigg so i doubt a reinstall is needed so i wil use that as an last resort. I can def try to make an new config but its been ages and ive forgotten so much its an slippery slope Yes, i am using Notepad+++ for other things aswel so quite familiar with it thx!! Yup this works for me 2 now, and doesn't screw up the other keybinds, thank you very much! Its attached @ this post (renamed it for ease of use here), i tried an reset to default but did nog give the wanted results i.e. the pop-ups and ~ failure remains I'd love to hear if you can find anything. etconfig(DK).cfg

Will pull it out of the folder ASAP and I use legacy (I guess)

Okey, the 'stranger things' continue: Ive reseted all keybinds to the default and the problem perssits sadly and just discovered another fun one when i open console i cant type any text because any touch on any random key will close the console (sorry for the not replying to the friendly welcomes from amongs other Je$$ica). But when i open the console using ~ and then press the escape key the console works but -you guessed it- the tab wont work any more. As last resort i confiscated the Corsair keyboard from my son (who bravely fought me because he wanted to play aswel) and tried it, well the same result as with the ol' G11. Ive set Windows to US layout and dutch language and now i have no clue anymore... Anyone any thoughts on the matter? DeeKee out

I dont use an config file atm, i configured my new mouse through the gui of ET itself. Just did weapon4 to mouse 3 and so on. So needle/dyno are configured on mouse 4, medpack/mine are binded to mouse 5. Attach rnade is mouse 3 and so on. But when i press A and mouse 4 i get my score pop-up No key is bind to V-say other then 'V'. Sometimes that menu pops up but also score and commandline show up. Kindah annoying. Ill try to digg up the config. Thx for all your replies

I really dont like to play as axis medic, id rather go engy or field-ops but most of the time the engy class has no real use in a map after a while or when there are a lot of rambo medic's. Usually ill switch from engy to medic and try to find an engy who's willing to go all-in for objective, but most of the time when i play engy i hardly get any backup so thats my solution for the 'rambo'medic problem, but i feel your pain m8!

Oke, and another (prolly n008) question; When i play and i am running around pressing the keyboard WSAD (not all at the same time doh) and press my mouse button's 3, 4 or 5 the v-say screen pops up (or the score popup). No doubd i'm doing something wrong but how do i turn that off, its annoying when i try to grab my needle when dodging bullets to the left- or right and have to press escape to turn those pop up messages of. You know, i get killed and unable to revive teammates or place dyno's

Damn... so my application did stick in may only to find it this week 😱. Did not get any confirmations on my registration (although i seem to remember an FB discusion.)

Finally got a few decent games in years this night, it really was fun again to play this game. I discovered a few things that need some attention (an G9x mouse thats 10+ years old isnt the best one to play ). But i was somewot annoyed with the teamkill complain F1-yes/F2-no that pops-up every time i get team-killed, is there a way to set it (client-side) to no so i don't have to push F2 every time? I really don't care if i get tk-ed (either on purpose or by accident) i wont file an complain anyway. Just a thought tho
