  1. Would be even less trash map if there was a CP spawn for allies available . I think it's matter of map script, it's probably available somewhere on antman.info site, someone would have to check and test it. The problem is that currently allies spawn at the shore, so they have to go all the way up to the side door even when they have CP I think the second part of what @Meagain suggested can be solved too.. Look above.
  2. Hmm, actually, on second thought, the balancer might've moved me today to other team when it was like 12v11 (1 player difference). I'm not 100% sure though. So that could be a problem.
  3. It's not doing any real harm, since it's only printing messages in chat about unbalanced teams when teams are balanced, without actually moving any players (correct me if I'm wrong here, might've not notice something). So maybe as Mini says it's better to keep it, because it really comes in handy in terms of team balance. I agree, we can't depend on players to move teams, they're usually reluctant to do that.
  4. Yes, but still those maps get votes, and this is how map voting system works
  5. breakout, el_kef_final, battery, oasis (keep the sw_ one)
  6. Just a little thought. I think the map times are a bit weird, for example fuel dump, which is not very popular right now or oasis have around 30 minutes or 25 minutes and popular maps like supply, adlernest have only around 15. Maybe you could fix that? 30 minutes Fueldump seems a bit long.
  7. Hello, nice to meet you. Good to see next new player on our server. I hope you will enjoy your time there and here on the forum. We shall meet on the battlefield in the followings days, although I must warn you that I'm not merciful and I don't spare my enemies there. See you soon!
  8. Good call I hope it stays that way.
  9. Yes, competitive ET is still being played, although the level is very high now.. The best players are gathering to play 3on3 and 6on6 on "schNee channel" on Discord. But lately we've been playing a lot of random mixed scrims so if you're interested pm me here or on Discord and you can join us for some scrims.
  10. Jessica, you have to know rcon password to do it just typing g_useralliedrespawntime won't do anything, you'll just change things locally for yourself
  11. Yes, exactly, set g_moverScale "1" in default.cfg and set g_moverScale "1.5" in fueldump.cfg. @MiniMuppet A guess how to fix these spawn times: via rcon command in the console: g_useralliedrespawntime "12" g_useraxisrespawntime "16" When next map loads, these should be the spawn times. But as I said, that's just a guess how to fix it.
  12. Nice, just remember that it should be the "erdenberg_t1" version
  13. Hmmm, yeah, actually you may be right: https://dev.etlegacy.com/projects/etlegacy/wiki/List_of_cvars, g_mapconfigs CVAR Relative path to the directory that contains map-specific config files. Create this directory inside of your legacy-folder. Allows you to execute a custom config file for each map. The config file for a map has to be named the same as the map with the extension .cfg, for instance oasis.cfg. You should also create a default.cfg file which will be read before the map-specific config files.
  14. That won't work because I think every map has its own ".cfg" file in the mapconfigs directory. So when f.e. fueldump comes, default_fueldump.cfg is loaded and the value of g_moverscale is set to 1.5, but it stays that way during the following maps, it doesn't reset. Default.cfg is loaded whenever there is no .cfg file in the mapconfigs directory. Spawtime bug was triggered by voting for competition config which overode the standard TM legacy server spawntimes.
  15. And one more thing: g_fixedphysics 1. I'll explain why tomorrow.
  16. Another issue I forgot about. Add enemy damage during warmup. I mean, warmup exists for a reason, as the name suggests it's to warm up my aim. No point when I can't shoot the enemies. It's a very small change, but worth considering.
  17. Fuel Dump, Battery, Railgun - all of these maps can only be a bit more playable with correct mapscripts. 1) Fueldump is already fixed as we found a working script for CP spawn. Another thing to fix on that map is the speed of the "mover", thats is the tank. It's achievable by setting the value of CVAR g_moverscale to 1.5, this basically makes the tank go faster = together with CP makes Fueldump a little bit more playable. I already spoke with Mini about that, she said she would do it in the near future, because it's gonna be really time-consuming (basically you're gonna have to manually put that CVAR in every mapconfig file in mapconfigs directory, which is a pain in the ass). 2) Battery, same deal, we should have a mapscript for destructible side door and optionally a ramp to go up to that mg-42 on 2nd stage allies attack. I can search for a mapscript some other day, because this week I'm a little bit busy. 3) Railgun - mapscript with spawn for Axis in towers near 1st Axis spawn, you know what I mean? Achievable with correct mapscript too. I agree on goldrush issue. Although goldrush is not the only map spoiled by short Axis spawn time. Syringes are already fixed for 2.77, it's a legacy 2.76 bug related to shared ammo of "normal" syringes with "adrenaline" syringes (in reality they are the same syringes). I'd just add that if you want to put in the server cfg file g_spectatorinactivity CVAR then you have to consider adding shoutcaster password for members so that they don't get kicked when sitting on spec. EDIT: I just remembered that probably there's no shoutcaster support in legacy... I gotta check that.
  18. I asked around the devs about mapscript for fueldump, I’ll let you know if I have something legit. It just means that not every map script, for example from etpro or etpub is gonna necessarily work on legacy
  19. Someone would have to write a map script for legacy mod.. :/ I can ask around on ETL Discord.
  20. Maybe you should pin that somewhere or make it like a member's rule Some members (recruiters? dunno even who has the rights to do it) like to do a mid-map shuffle a "little" bit too often
  21. @Duro Well for me the rules displayed after typing !rules are okay, they are short and understandable. Just a general notification - no spawn killing, gives a general idea about spawn killing, says that's it's not gonna be tolerated. Being too strict with the rules can be discouraging for players, so you gotta be careful with this too. But I get your point, better have everything clear and explained in simple fashion. I think custom 'esc' menu would do the job fine, spamming it in chat or banners would be annoying. Rogan made the custom menu so I guess it's up for the admins to upload it.
  22. @Duro On legacy server every player can type !rules which prints TM server's rules in the console.
  23. The reason for that is, I believe, that on legacy there are players who like to play only on one side (ALLIES most of the time), an example can be the player with nick "TheGreatPharaoh", the guy practically plays only ALLIES. So when the vote passes, some of those players end up in AXIS and that could be the reason why some of them go spec/disconnect. In the past, when server was less crowded, we often had problems with unbalanced teams because everyone wanted to play in allies and for example there was only one or two guys in axis with bots. That does no guarantee that the shuffle will be good, I mean the timing (often saw shuffle done in the middle of the game which for me is unacceptable and server-killing). IMO shuffle should be done only on map start. I can tell you what we did on TM ETPro server and what turned out to be really popular among players. There is an automatic shuffle (put into map cycle config file) few seconds after end of each map. That way you don't end up playing all the time axis/allies and with the same players, so if during certain map for example axis is overpowered, during the following round it shuffles and problem's gone. And it's all automatic so nobody's "responsible" But I seriously doubt that would be a good move on legacy server, mainly because of the reasons that I mentioned above (allies-loving players).
