Well, I reverted back to original version following the feedbacks. It means it removes: - randomization of player to be balanced - no move feature below 3mn left duration - announcer to encourage self balance due to massive damage difference between teams

Yep! That was the level Beginners had some months ago, then some of our usual players didn't come back, or we could see them from time to time... Maybe they are coming back since some spawncampers have been banned... I hope the server will keep this number of players now

I don't know man. For someone who doesn't like us and don't wanna be here - you are still here. You know all the inside-outs of beeing TM member and enforcing rules, the way different members/admins enforce them (some more strict, some more lenient) and how this is a job to benefit a community. So if you wanna be in TM server you got to behave and understand that while you were TM member, you were privileged a bit more because we could have talks with you in member section of the discord hub and you were sometimes forgiven more than regular guest would have. But leaving TM and closing the door behind you with a band and constantly burning all the bridges - you are just becoming more and more someone who just do not fit in the server. There are more servers to go to, there are other communities to join or to start so if we are such communist to you then you should start searching new home elsewhere. But it never is, my friend. Never with you. Sad. But you are still getting replies and not shown the door, so there is still a chance to fix your shit and behave. Don't f*ck it up. Happy halloween weekend to you.

Stypek I believe you can understand TM are players before being admins and we can’t see everything everytime…I didn’t witness the situation that led to your ban but I can guess that you asked a nasty way, as often with you, and that you didn’t get listened mainly due to that. And well, communists, mushrooms, Russia, Poland, voting system or whatever else you are rambling about on a daily basis we just don’t care. It’s a video game, not a politic debate area, I’m sure there are places dedicated for such discussions. In short, I would advise not to go further in your adjectives now or situation could only worsen, we don’t have time nor energy to debate for days.

Hi all, I was wondering if it would be possible to tweak the auto-balance system so that players who have been on a team from the start of a map are less likely to be switched late in the game. Instead, balance changes should prioritise moving players who joined midway through (or later), unless there really are no other options. The reason I bring this up is that I have been switched quite a few times with only 3–5 minutes left, despite having played the entire map from the beginning. It feels especially unfair when someone who joined my team just minutes earlier gets to stay, while I get moved. It is frustrating when you have spent the whole round fighting hard to support your team and push for the win, only to be pulled away at the last minute. For me, it is not just about SR (though that matters too), but about the time and effort invested in backing the team you started with. I completely understand that balancing is important, and sometimes it is unavoidable that long-standing players get moved. But in most cases, I think it would feel fairer if late joiners were the first ones affected. Just my two cents... curious to hear what others think.

Ok let's try this idea. I added a condition to deactivate the autobalance when there is less than 3 minutes remaining on the map. Also takes into consideration the time bonuses. Let's see if it helps and don't hesitate to bring new feedbacks.

I agree with you. Imagine autobalance in soccer match where one player contributes to team whole match and in the end will be put to other team because other team is underperforming. Idk if there have been more changes made to autobalance but by default it should swap the player that joined most recently. Issue is or was that game considers each match as all the players joining in again. So the one who takes longest during map change is considered the most recent player even if u have played for hours

Hello, I remember your case. You were pissing off all server with your mortar all day long and were pretty proud of this, taunting other players. That's because of players like you that we modified the server. Indeed it's no more possible to stand mortar in protected areas, was too unfair. Also, the rules changed and you'll find rule 18 covering the fact that it is no more allowed to exploit mortar the way you were doing it. I don't know what happened for your kick but I believe the admin who kicked you already had in mind your past behavior with this mortar and your proud intention to piss off all server with this weapon. We don't tolerate such behavior anymore, fun is for everyone, not only for you.

If you have trouble finding the maps let me know, they should be relatively easy to find.. Escape 2 Final (Snow map not to be confused with TE Escape 2 on the server right now) UJE Watten Etdo Radar Laboratory Wurttemberg (beta4) Sedes (Indoor Egyptian Slog so no ARTY!) BTW All of these maps were tried and tested and should play very well on the server with minimal bugs. i hope they come in handy,, Tbh map checking is very time consuming - so that's why I made a refined list, but too many too mention in one post - if you want more let me know! Ok rule understood, so if I example see/saw someone using mortar inside, then I just !kick and add reason that its against our rules which means USING MORTAR INSIDE NOT ALLOWED... Hello dear TM staff members and regulars. I am an old player from RTCW times, then ET, and now, even if slow and old, I continue (and try) to play ET again. You probably saw me playing a few times, a bit slow because I am not a professional! But I like to play fair and laugh with teammates. What I like about online games is to laugh a bit in chat, not to be serious at all, because life is hard enough already. I like all the members I meet on the server, they are relaxed and play with us, keeping an eye on any problems. For this reason I congratulate your staff for this quality achieved. Nothing else to add. I hope this community continues to be the best in the Enemy territory server landscape, and I wish all the best for the leaders and all the staff.

First of all, thanks for feedbacks and bringing them here so we can discuss and keep track of what is needed in the end. I do confirm the autobalancer script was modified, the 24th of June this year. The logic of the former version of the balancer script was basically to populate tables in order of appeareance of players joining teams. Then it moves the last one in the table when it kicks in. So it was always switching the player that joined the team the last (new player, or already-switched player). We changed to a total random method instead. The culprit that we tried to address was the fact that when strong players/TM members/friends were trying to balance a map, they were very likely to be switched back to the other team as soon as teams are unbalanced in terms of numbers (-2 less in one team). I understand your point tho. It's very hard to always find good balance when tweeking this game. When you try to improve a situation in one side, it alters another one on the other side. I'm all happy to listen or discuss about any idea that could cover these both situations or improve the server on that topic.

Try to put the cvar in server.cfg instead. Also, I guess the path is case sensitive, gotta take care of the actual name of targeted database, example on our server with standard db name: set n_SQLiteDBPath "/xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx/nitmod/NITMOD_DB.sqlite"

It is not a matter of being tolerant or not, it's the way to avoid anarchy (Tower of babel) in the main chat. You still can learn english with something like Duolingo or Busuu, and you will be free to communicate 😉 Ce n'est pas une question d'être tolérant ou pas, c'est le moyen d'éviter l'anarchie (la tout de Babel) dans la chat principal. Tu peux encore apprendre l'anglais avec Duolingo ou Bussuu, et tu seras libre de communiquer

It ‘can’ work but 5g is 5g either through an thetered phone or as an mifi router both use the same type of aerial connection. And as ham amateur I know that that can cause huge issues. Not saying it can’t work but the latency can differ a lot causing huge lag issues. vpn can level it out, but TM has rules about connecting through vpn. I hope you get it to work, but it will always be an undesirable way to play online games.

Hi guys ,just wanted to introduce myself,i been playing a lot just recentlly on the original map server and have become quite a regular after a break from ET of about 14 years. i used to be an admin on some old servers long ago,i was Fp p4in ( Fatal Punishers)and before that MC p4in (Midnight Spikage),now just P4in,any way i wanted to say im enjoying my time with the guys on the server. A question ....i see a lot of guys with ranks..how do you get a rank? Also i wonder how old most of you guys are? im 64 now so getting old,lol but as long as ET is still goin..so will i .
