    ETL Campaign is a GO

    Charlie
    By Charlie,

While this server never stopped running we have decided to put more effort in to making it work with the latest Legacy release. @Dmxj has helped set up and push the server. We also have @Bystry who has lain the foundations and build the server up to what it is today. The vast majority of all the scripts, lua and configs are down to this mad lad. And we have @eMMiel promoting and pushing the server, finding the fresh meat to play. If any one had any questions, concerns or suggestions about ETL Campaign don't hesitate to message them!

The server is made to attract higher skilled people and people who enjoy scrims. Something as a down time or in between matches or whatever. It's a campaign server (obviously) with the current scrim maps in rotation. Snaps is also set to 40 which is a big deal apparently (I've no idea).

Anyways the server is up and running and has had up to a 6v6 tonight across multiple maps so far. Go check it out if you want to experience a quieter but arguably higher skill player base (I promise we won't ban you! Maybe). As usual any suggestions are more than welcome.

    From Dmxj:

The server provides the latest legacy client.

    - 10 map rotation (only scrim maps)

    - All competitive settings

    - Official spawntimes

    - Limited heavy weapons and landmines

    - Stable ping

    - First public server with 40 snaps

    - Time bonusses

    Dear Muppets, friends and regulars!

A few months ago, we decided to start a TeamMuppet Fund.

There was a reason behind our decision: we wanted to keep up with the modern world, bring some innovations and constantly improve things for the sake of our players. That included supporting the ET: Legacy developers with donations, advertising our community on various social media platforms and upgrading our Discord server - to keep this game active and alive.

Now, a few months later, we can't believe seeing the amount of money we have managed to collect - we raised more than 900 euro! TeamMuppet is always transparent with the donations and you can always see when and how much money comes in our Fund and how and when we spend it - check the
#💰┃donations channel or our website for more information.

And last, but not least: TeamMuppet wouldn't be the community it is now without each and every one of you! We would like to thank you from the bottom of our Muppets heart for all the donations you've made, for keeping this game alive and for playing on our servers!

We hope that after 19 long years we can provide you with - at least - another 19 years of lovely gameplay and lots of fun at TeamMuppet community!

    2.77 legacy release

    MiniMuppet
    By MiniMuppet,

    ET: LEGACY 2.77 RELEASED!
    'Capture the City!'

    It's massive. It's stable! It's GODLIKE!

It was also overdue, but now it's finally time for ET: Legacy 2.77 'Capture the City!', our most comprehensive release to date. Yes, we have been saying that about the past releases as well, but only because it's true! Thanks to an actually growing ET: Legacy community and more active interest and involvement by players and server owners alike, the amount of feedback we have received since 2.76 was absolutely astonishing. Thank you for that!

At this point, we want to extend the warmest of all regards to the TeamMuppet ET community, who braced against a continued storm of bugs and endured frequent server crashes and downtimes by testing unstable development snapshots. The feedback gathered through your playtests has been incredibly valuable. So valuable in fact that we decided to provide those development snapshots publicly over here. They are a wonderful opportunity for us to massively shorten the release cycle in the future, lower the feedback barrier between developers and players and get hands-on experience on the latest features and bug fixes by the community.

    Changelog

We know the most interesting part of a new release is to read up on all the things that got fixed, added or changed, however, it's not possible to go through everything in detail here, so please have a look at the comprehensive changelog here. Nonetheless, there naturally are items on the list that stand out and we decided to compile them in the very short list below.

Added new download container system (read more)
Fixed VM_Create crash when player had utf-8 chars in their username (Windows)
    Added HUD objective indicator
Added clearer simple items icons (use cg_simpleItems 2 to only use simple packs and weapon)
Added shoutcaster mode / Added shoutcast overlay
Added prestige feature that tracks players skill levels reset
We still want to provide you with in-detail explanations regarding some changes we are especially excited about, so please stay tuned for more blog posts in the coming days. For now, however, we think it's best to let you play around with this new release without further ado:
ET: Legacy 2.77 agains comes with support for Windows, Linux and MacOS as well as brand-new Raspberry Pi support which will go online in the next few days! We're also happy to announce that support for Android devices is under development and should be available to you soon'ish(TM).

If you are not yet part of our Discord community, now is the ideal time to join. You will stay on top of things with news regarding ET, RTCW and most importantly ET: Legacy development. You can actively engage in discussion and help shape the game we all love to play. We are also happy to say that you can find active players in a growing competitive community on ET: Legacy. Things are starting to take shape and you can be right there with us!

    • Well, Liberty, the facts are:   1. The AI wrote half of your text. 2. You pushed another player from behind and ran away, ruining his fun (evercore chased you and shot at you). He was pissed. 3. I wasn't, and am not, upset about this situation you caused, this is normal admin reaction. 4. The player people voted 'kick' was Outraaa or Noazzz from .IL clan - that's a fact, so stop lying. 5. You're accusing me of abusing commands. I didn't kick you, but I could have, you were just warned, yet you still got mad... Personally, I don't like kicking or muting players. 6. If you're not farming ammo or health packs or not healing as medic, most players will eventually get fed up and vote to kick you. 7. Some players teamkill me seconds before the map ends, and I have no problem with that. They do it face-to-face, and it's somehow funny. 8. My personal life and my ego have nothing to do with it. 9. Now you're acting really weird ( to put it mildly ) – first you say I need to get help because I'm taking my personal problems online, and then you want to bury the hatchet ??? ( that doesn't work in real life man ). 10. Cheaters, trolls, and hackers are not welcome on the Muppet server. 11. The Muppets will react (if they want to) to such behavior, and there's not much you can do about it. 12. Arguing with admins ( like you're doing now ) rarely ends well for players who don't respect the above rules. 13. You are welcome on the server as long as you respect the admins, the rules, and above all, other players. 14. I will keep my eye on you. 14. There wouldn't be a problem if you simply admitted that your behavior wasn't funny or okay and apologized in the beginning, but you decided to chose a different path...   Yes, see you on the server and hope you will have fun Liberty  For me topic is closed now, we do not need to delete it from server
    • Yes,i thought so, well i expect to see you soon to game Fox 🙂
    • Hello Meanmachine, nice to see you here. Thank you for your reply. I took your reaction seriously and spent one hour of my Sunday time to write you a reply. And no, I haven't used AI. This post have been written by a human (myself) completely If you just see too many letters, please scroll down to part 2. 1. Official part Despite your reaction above I would still prefer to consider you as an adult and accountable person, with the appropriate respect. Would also ask you for the same. The main cause for this thread was a discrepancy between rules here and at the game server (regarding push rule). Jessica's reply made clear that not all admins are aware of that. My response to Jessica's post should be considered as solving the issue. We could have it closed at that point, but... unfortunately, Meanmachine, you decided to escalate it further. I was not looking for confrontation, so why do you still trying to go that route? For what reason? Instead of providing your point in a civilized respectful way you decided to treat and insult me here as well, unprovoked, calling that "mature" conversation. Well, your reply showed that you demanded comprehensive and really mature response, so here we go. I do my best to fulfil your expectations as requested. Let's have a closer look at what you wrote above.   Well, this is a clear treat. Everyone has to follow same rules in the same way, right? How does this treat have to do with the topic I described above? Is treating someone with "special attention" your very "last resort" argument? Do you just trying to get some credits for future revenge actions against me online? Or maybe this shall tell others not to complain against your misbehave because you will "keep an eye on them" afterwards? This was very self disqualifying response from you.   Please read my previous post about missing shoving rule in online ruleset carefully. "Trolling" and "you enjoyed it" is your free and absolutely erroneous fantasy. Pushing someone once at the end of the round is not trolling. Your reaction to this is inadequate. If someone was offended by that - I'm sorry about that. Wasn't my intention at all. And the issue could be easily solved with a simple message in chat. "run away like a coward" - again, your free and wrong interpretation containing insulting language.   The player you !warn'ed for "not giving ammo" was not one of IL guys. Therefore, you whole explanation has miserably failed at this point! Server admins can verify that in logs. I have a strong feeling that you getting overwhelmed with what's going very fast on and acting inadequate by randomly issuing admin commands against players around you without clearly understanding what you are doing and for what reason.   The "best" part of your post above . It could be an evidence for a possible internal conflict inside your mind between reality and your imaginary perfect game world, which you are trying to enforce by abusing admin commands. But the reality is other: one's gameplay may or may nor be team oriented. And there is no rule enforcing players to give ammo/health packs. Such rule would make no sence for many reasons anyway. You can ASK for ammo/med packs. And if you don't get it - accept it because you cannot "legally" enforce others to do so. !warn'ing people because you haven't got ammo you've requested is childish and definitely an abuse of admin commands. My hint to you: ask server admins to provide you !give command so you can !give yourself ammo and health packs anytime without harassing other players.   Neither nice nor constructive. And again - very childish. I have tried my best to explain the reasons for complaint and my point of view. I have also shown that I'm looking for clarifying and deescalating the issue. I explicitly displayed my respect and good will to not harm you. And you throwing the "that's your problem, deal with it" tantrum on me instead. You acting here like an offended teenager, being arrogant, treating, insulting and demonstrating clear disrespect. That public behaviour shows your lack of personal anger management and fairly questionable ability for solving issues within group of people - especially given your admin privileges on game server. What comes next? Throwing yourself onto the floor, rolling around screaming and crying?   You are making heavy accusations here. Not sure you understand what you are talking about. Generally - see my reply to "your problem - deal with it" above. I don't really know what YOUR problem is, but please calm down! We are still in game context. People are here to have fun. You are exploding from 0 to 100 in no time and going berserk on someone you dont even know! In conjunction with your admin privileges this becoming a heavy fun killing factor on server. You hate me just because I disagree with your single decision and explained my reasons here in public? You calling my arguments "crap" just because you don't like them or disagree with them? You insulted me on server and here because you feel your authority being questioned? Seriously, get some help. I'm here not to harass you nor I want to be harassed.   This is the second treat within a single post. Your trolling interpretation is fairly wide and missing the reality. This, combined with you behaviour (insulting, treating and escalating) looks for me like if you had some issues and needed help.   I am not a troll. And I can't explain your aggressive behaviour towards me considering your age. Your repeated insults and treats with admin actions just because I showed and reasonable explained disagreement with you? And after I explicitly stated, that I look for clarification - you still look for anger. After all, I don't understand what triggered such massive aggression against me. Anyway, having problems in real life, reflecting these into online world won't help to solve them. Get help, I you need. Please. I hope my extended explanation have clarified my point without hurting your ego. As requested. Thank you for your attention. Official part ends here. 2. Friendly part Meanmachine, how can we disarm this issue? Everyone can make a mistake, like myself acting based on wrong ruleset, making someone upset or you assuming me being a troll and going personal against me. At the end of the day we are here to have fun together and not to make other's life harder than it should be. My honest proposal to you - let's bury the hatchet and get back to good fun. I promis not push Evercore off the edge anymore (unless he asks me to). And I send you some fine German beer. And we kindly ask forum admins to delete this  thread as bogus. Deal?
    • I’m not that Maverick, when I saw his name I changed mine back to Fox as I always used that name the most.   Great to see forum acitivity too
