  2. I liked the Halloween weekend, enjoyed it much! So did everyone I talked to or played with over the weekend. (a.) Mood, atmosphere was great as far as I could tell. Fun to see in some maps I wasn't the only one lost for a change. (b.) The "B(r)oomstick" audio is fun but very very present suppressing much of the rest that is happening. (c.) Liked all visual elements, maybe reduce landmine pumpkin size to 25% of what it was. I did hear more experienced players mention it was hard to identify class, from my perspective I'm happy if I can see the difference between allies and axis at all, let alone differentiate between classes but maybe something to address. Also if possible increase head-size of my teams opponent by at least 200% please. (d.) I think events like these should be on the main server, its a community event so should be on the main stage. (e.) Great Job! "Goed Bezig!"

As everyone has said, was a great (Pumpkin) surprise to see all the neat theme changes for Halloween And even though I'm ashamed to admit I agree with Trin, the axis skins were a little hard to figure out who was who as far as class someone was. Other than that, really loved it! Also didn't realize how celebrated Halloween was globally, so that was a nice learning experience ❤️

  4. Hello I know i should not write about other Player like that but LOLOTAZ is incredible stupid. He all the time making TK on his teammates and I think he has no idea how this game is working. He is annoying players ALL the time. Please do something with him

  6. I think the event went well. The community descision to move themed stuff to main server and have halloween-weekend there seemed to be justified as I heard very little unhappy growls next to whole amount of pure happiness and fun. I have people pm'd me few times during weekend personally that its a nice refreshment to the server and I think we should be all thankful to all masterminds and helpful hands who made that possible (surely @Matu & @0wN1x will make a nice thank you note for all of us to react to ).

  8. The issue wasn't about to balance teams but just to avoid the last boring minutes of a map where the result is predicted. Obviously we can't keep shuffling, the proposal was just to add a bit of disadvantage in leaving team mates dying alone. Anyway I'll keep fighting 😄

  9. I agree it's not reasonable to penalise. If you stay and lose maybe you are better player? I had a very bad like 5 evenings where we (Axis 😬) lost every match over and over and I lost almost 8SR over those nights. It was pretty bad depressing feeling haha, but SR is just imaginary internet points, they do nothing for you in real life 😁 There could be more shuffle but the same things happens, certain players will just go spec or leave. I don't think you can really fix it just hope that TM members and some good players help to make it more fair and help the losing team.

  12. Interesting discussion. Would love to see the mortar charge time increased but it's not a weapon I'm too familiar with so wouldn't know how good/bad it is currently. All I know is some guys who like to use it catch me like 10 times in a map which is rather annoying at times. But hey, 8 of those times is usually at the exact same spot so maybe it's a tiny bit my own fault as well. As for the topic of this conversation, I understand your point Nanaa and I agree with you. Mortar effectively takes out the whole exit, rather easily in fact by hitting the bridge. However, according to the current rules in place neither spot A or B is considered the spawn exit. Therefore I would argue that mortaring the bridge and beyond is within the current rules. If we discuss the topic of adding a separate rule only for Venice, as there is on Oasis about heavy beyond the broken wall, I would disallow mortaring the bridge but keep spot B as fair game. Spot A could be argued as a spawnexit area, where as spot B is definitely not an exit area of any kind. There are some other instances as well where some spawnkill rules don't really make sense but it is difficult to come up with universal rules for every single instance, seeing as there are dozens of maps in the rotation. I think the current ruleset works wonders for most maps which is all you could really ask for.

  13. As the rules, IIRC, say no mortar NEAR spawn exits, there's definitely a case to be made that area A should be out of bounds. However, I was playing when the mortar was there (when Nanaa was playing) and all I had to do is use the green exit, step back and watch the sky, wait until the mortar had landed, then move. Remember: WATCH THE SKIES!

  14. Hello fellow WW2 enthusiasts and fans of Enemy Territory, I'm dude, previously playing as ETPlayer, ET Cop and ET Sheriff on ET Legacy server 1. Loving the TeamMuppet's place where I've been playing this vintage and still excellent game for a while. I consider ET to be a perfect FPS multiplayer game and I'm sure many people do too - no wonder it's still played many years after it was released for free. I'm from Czech Republic and I play for fun, helping others rather than going Rambo style. I like playing in the Axis team because they more often defend. Sometimes playing as Allies it feels like a walking simulator! I respect players who play fair and it's always a good feeling when the map is won, especially by the team I'm in. So thanks again for the provision of fun and keeping ET alive!

  17. Hi everyone, I've been around the servers for several weeks now, and thought I should probably say hi here. I used to play on etpub servers about 15 years ago when I just started high school. After that at some point I played a game called Warsow and did some development for it and in particular its Racesow mod (think timed competitive trickjumping), but I quit once I moved from the Dutch countryside to London. I decided to casually play some ET recently, and it's been quite nice for a bit of distraction. I think my aim has been getting better since I started again, but what I like most of all is to jump around the maps. Maybe if there is some interest I could post on these forums a few demos/videos on nice hiding spots to get to. If anyone cares about this in real life I research theoretical computer science, and I like art films and exploring parks and pretty much anything that happens in the city.   18. Thanks for all the welcomes! I am Dutch; I moved here for my PhD and then have been staying for the past year as well as a postdoc. Haha thanks who knows, one day That's one of the ones I wanted to share. I'll just attach a demo to this post for now. I found this after CAROTAL3 showed me how to do the first part with help of a teammate. The one person alternative route I found is a little tricky, but not too hard if you practice a bit. The key is that the little roofed window thingy has a roof covering a slightly smaller area than the bottom ledge, so if you jump against that roof your position clips in such a way you'll be able to make the next jump on the ledge. You'll want to switch strafe at that point, but only after having jumped the ledge. Cool, I'm doing automata theory and specifically automatically inferring an automaton describing the behaviour of a system by interacting with it. Even more specifically, I use category theory to transfer algorithms/results between settings of different types of automata. Lots of abstract algebra. pirates-balcony.dm_84

  22. Hey guys, Good to see that ET still exists! Played this game many many years ago, probably when it first came out hah! Just wanted to quickly introduce myself - I'm portuguese guy who moved to the UK 10 years ago and now run a couple of bars here in London. Due to what's happening out there, I'm currently not working so decided to see if ET is still alive and waste my time hearing the lovely sound of a headshot(s).   24. What is your name in the game? I believe I know what you mean, you keep going AFK so someone moves you, but because your mouse settings are crazy you can’t manually put yourself to spec. So you are asking if you can open the console and type a command to put yourself to spec?

  25. Heya, thought I'd introduce myself a little to the community. My (ingame) name is Sebast1an and I'm a 29-year-old guy currrently living in Middle Finland. Automation engineer by education, I've worked the past 3+ years as a design engineer doing both automation and electrical engineering in one of the biggest Nordic engineering companies. Fluent in Finnish and English, can say hello in Swedish and swear in German. As for ET, I used to play this game a lot 10-15 years ago, eventually managing my own Jaymod server for like 3 years. But as the playerbase descended and the server died, I quit this game and only recently started playing again. Downloaded an ET:Legacy client, found your server and here we are. I like playing the objective every time I play - quite frankly I find pure fragging damn boring. Typically I play as a medic or as an engineer - whatever I feel advances the objective best. In my opinion some maps are far better than others so you might see me spectating certain maps every time they are played. Most of the default maps and Venice for example. I prefer to play on the offence because most of the time defending means just camping at one place and it gets boring after a while. My gaming setup has a lot of room for improvement as I play on a couple years old 15,6" laptop and use my phones internet. But for now I haven't felt the need to upgrade because I rarely use my laptop for anything other than ET anyways. Higher fps would be nice though. :D Good to meet you all. :) If you have any questions, I'll probably answer them.
