    Playing rambo medic and holding of positions is a strategy in ET. Same as emptying areas with panzer or airstrike/arty.

Y tru the same here, but it seems to be a lot more difficult because members seem to avoid the Nitmod server.

     

    I doubt people have much against nitmod but the main "issue" is that it is supposed to be beginner server.

    If played laid back and easy then people get bored easily. If regular players will play more agressively then usually I have much higher K/D than regular beginners in that server. 

    Also there are people who dont like the tripmines or throwable knives or fast fire for example. :)

    You are free to kill in that spawn as long as that kill comes from return fire. Its not allowed to shoot first but as soon as you get shot from there or someone runs out from there and then back - feel free to shoot and kill (with light weapons only).

    If you shoot him with light weapon when he is shooting, then it is considered (in my experience) as return fire, which is allowed.

    You are not even understanding what you did wrong. That is so sad. 😕

     

    Classical case where you are appealing not because you were wrongly accused or regret what you did. Oh no - your only regret lies in the fact that you got caught.

     

    There is no need for fortune telling to know from life experience that you will not change the manner of how you behave but just be more careful and make jokes like this again.  But this time only just when no admin or TM member or vocal community member is around.

     

    For me the first infraction was already over the top and I wouldn't give you any leeway or easing on this.

    I do have empathy but i exercise my empathy in the real world when i'm facing desperate people in need . I do not pretend to be a saint like you . Acting like you is just hypocrisy , im sure you think you are some kind of a good guy but let me assure you that at the end of the day your actions brings absolutely no change in the world .

    At the end of the day, the people you play in the server with are humans and may even have any relatives that are currently living in Afganistan in trouble. You ever tought about that before taking a piss? Its not just beeing saint or not - we expect grown-up mentality and decency from both our members and guests. That at least they know what are things you can or cannot joke about. If you are unable of beeing in shared space and respecting other people - then you have no business in TM servers, discord or elsewhere.

    Beeing respectful towards others is one of the main rules and principles. 

    The way you went from original post promising "if you unban me i swear to not do anymore jokes about talibans " to "Do you really think that not making jokes about that situation would improve whats going on ?? " shows that you really dont care or understand what you did and dont wanna improve.

    Feel free to go in some bot filled server, crack your jokes there and dont come back to any server where real people play. People who behave like this are disgrace to ET community.

    If the only change that my actions bring to this world is isolating behaviour like this from TM community then I'll damn sure will work towards it.

    A year ago, I would have given you 2nd chance. But you really gotta live under a rock to not understand what is going on and to make jokes on times like these. I would warrant you even 5 year ban. Play elsewhere where people with such low empathy and understanding of world is welcomed.

    Lets just make needle work with all healths and let medic keep his medpacks as a reward. :)

    Thinking a bit about the revive feature, this is seems to have been the development:

    • Originally players could only be revived when dead. It thus became easiest to heal almost dead players by tk'ing them before reviving, which is not great.
    • As a solution the alive revive feature was introduced. However, now if players are slightly less than almost dead (just above 25%) they still need to be shot before able to get a revive.

    It seems that the feature is more of a partial fix, as teamdamage is still needed/expected but just in a different way. (Not needing the tk is of course a big improvement though.)

    One alternative I thought of is allowing revives below a certain threshold but proportional to how far below the threshold the player is. For instance, say the threshold is 50%. A fully dead player would be fully revived, but a 25% alive player would be revived to 75%, 49% to 51%, and so on. This still means doing some teamdamage allows for a bigger revive, but (I think) to an extent that it's more sensible to use medpacks instead of doing so.

    Other way is just to make the revive give 60hp to whatever the current status of health of the player is. If player is fully dead, then after the revive health will be 60. If player has even 55hp then syringe adds still 60hp but as the overall healt is capped to a certain number, then even using syringe on 95hp player would not give some extra health boost. Then medpacks would not be so much used to revive at scene but to be dropped down to some key parts where someone can find them and get health back (for example in goldrush medic could drop some packs as allied to bridge area and move on).

    Currently the revive train as youcan revive 10 people in a row faster than 10 seconds is bit absurd and something could be maybe capped there (syringe speed, amount of health..?).

    Some maps are fine but not balanced, so they are removed. IMO we can try to adjust the balance by changing spawn points or something, but I know that it's easy to say for me, but there's prob no one who can do that.

    Once I proposed a cyclic event. One day a week (or one day per 2 weeks) with only new maps. I think my idea didn't find enthusiasm.

    Well its pretty organic. I think there are plenty of us who chimed in with new ideas (about rules, maps etc) and got the reply that we didnt invent the bicycle and it has been tried before.

    From the experience, Temple map could be improved and balanced immensely but we need someone who know how to update and change the map.

    For example: if allies had 2nd spawn at the beginning near the bridge, it would help a lot. If allies would have at the end a way up to the 2nd floor then it would balance map even more. 

    But that needs some work that I have no idea how to accomplish.

    But I like active people with ideas. :) keep it up!

    Temple last stage has been too little for 20vs20 and also the first part where you have to either cross narrow or wide bridge or climb up are real bottlenecks for allied players. 

    Falcon is not big enough for even 10vs10 as axis have very nice places to defend allies and they cannot do anything.  Both maps needs allies to be much stronger to have a chance to win.

    I think falcon is currently active in beginners server mappool - try it out there :)

    Well killing someone AFK is one thing but there should be some protection even when you start moving. I wouldnt mind something more sophisticated and automated but we have many maps and they change over time .. would be pretty big work to go and review them one by one (how far the protection distance should be, etc).

    Votes say that 18 dont like delay and 11 would like to have delay. :D One way or another - there will be a group of people who just need to get used to something they prefer other way around. :)

    @0wN1x if you could choose - 1sec prone delay vs 1sec selfkill delay - what would you choose?
     

  15. Is the "1" value the lowest it can be set on pronedelay? Maybe its possible to still have a delay but 0.5 sec or lower? Like lets meet in the middle. 

    I've played with it and I would like no delay / shorter delay but if we decide to keep 1sec delay then its not gonna make me uninstall the game and I will continue playing it once a month :D

    Maybe we shouldnt show or give out openly how the SR is been calculated so people are not focusing on trying to raise it artificially (if that can be the case...).

    I think thats a suggestion to legacy devs too? Surely they should happy to improve if we give them enough logic.
