I'm really not the best player in the world but it's been ages since I didn't goof around or chatter for half the map or something. I figured I might do alright when I concentrated. No. Just no. I get my ass handed to me on a plate over and over again lol. It can be a steep learning curve playing there, at least I think it is, but that's why I like it. It's a challenge I actually had to do exec charlie.cfg the other day and stop using the standard ET cfg

I dunno what I was expecting. An apology to myself or ich, or a reassurance that he wouldn't make comments like that again. Or a thanks for getting unbanned. Or that I'm a poor admin. Something. But all I got was "okay". Ptain hasn't appealed his ban.

I had a look at the logs and the things that were said aren't tolerated on TM servers. At all. Admins can use commands to move you around team, disorient you, freeze you and so on. But we can't actually take control of you like you're asking

Welcome to the forums There's no "auto space". You can stay waiting for a revive all map technically. While you didn't see anything, someone must have damaged you further as you waited for you to then be gibbed. With ff being on and with so many online a lot can happen that you might miss.

Imagine right. When you accumulate a number of PP you can go in to a little online store and buy a new slightly different skin or something. Wanna logo up your uniform with <=TM=>? Yes please. Want a pink helmet? Sure. A panza that looks like a sausage? Go for it. You want to do a "Wilhelm scream" when you die? Why not. The possibilities are endless In all seriousness I like the sounds of it. Levelling skills gives me something different to do instead of playing the same 2 classes each map. It might not be everyone's cup of tea though.

Sorry guys for the late reply. I literally put the new maps on a Legacy server that isn't even online by accident and had to dip out for work til now. I'll sort it out this week, I think. Cathedral, Cortex and Goldrush SW will be added. Dingenskirshen, Ice and Goldrush Official will be removed. Cheers everyone for all your input and voting!!

There's 27 maps in the /etmain directory but it's been so long since I've did maps I don't know if I can add 4 without removing any to hit the 31 limit, or if maps not included in etmain are included in this count too. For example Radar, Fueldump, Railgun and GR .pk3 aren't in etmain but are on the server, so are there actually 31 maps and I'm at the limit or only 27? Basically I'm playing it safe and removing one to add one, cos Eagle will shout at me if I break the server and I'm due to do that at some point. It's been a while

Hey all. At the beginning of January I'm sure everyone noticed a couple of crashes on our legacy server. We checked the game logs and server logs but we didn't know whats was causing it. We tried to move the game server to a different/new installation; we applied the latest OS updates; we disabled our custom LUAs and all of this without fixing the problem. The server kept crashing almost every day for an unknown reason. After a long and really careful investigation, and with really close cooperation with the ET:Legacy development team, we noticed what was connecting all of the crashes together. We found out someone was able to kill/crash the server but we had no idea how he was doing it. We had an "information embargo" and kept quiet about what we found. We created a trap which redirected this person to a second server running in debug mode. Then the ET:Legacy dev team done awesome work and found what was causing the crashing and created the fix. We applied the fix and from then on the server is stable and working as it was previously. We honestly need to thank all the time and work Mr, Mini, Eagle and the Legacy devs put in to fixing this. At the start this person joined our Legacy server, played some games and had a chit-chat with a few our valued players. He realised that his server is nearly empty for the vast majority of the day and he probably wanted to get some players from our server, which is currently most played Legacy mod based server. First one of the year! These are what got suggested to me here on the forums and on the server. To add one map we need to remove one map. I'd like to add 2 and remove 2 but it depends on the votes. Voting is open until the start of February so tell your friends! Omitted MML Church. They recommend teams of up to 6 which makes it too small for Legacy. 2 versions of Goldrush will be on the server as they are so popular. Which two are up to you. Sigh, why can't people love Minas Tirith like they do Goldrush and make my day All questions are multiple choice so vote for as many or as few as you like. There's always the option for standard maps to come back if that is what people want. I might add something not suggested or not allow something on the poll for whatever reason but pretty much everything changing on Legacy is due to popular demand. @Ctrz You mean this map for Resurrect? https://et.trackbase.net/map/164/ MML Church and Pantherbase might be too small. Church especially. We'll see. Italy won't be added due to it making the server crash at times. I need a bind for typing this one @Sebast1an Marrakesh night or day? The server is consistently crashing again like last week. I can't seem to get it stable and have no idea whether it's Legacy related or TM related. The last lines in console before it shuts down each time mentions initiating legacy ui and the amount of ui cvar enabled. If someone could check the logs Charlie will you! I have to duck out for the night unfortunately

Holy shit Charlie what are you doing!? Asking what maps we want twice in one month!? You lost you're mind boy! The last one was more of a replace the Xmas maps with something random, but we're back to the proper thing now. Lemme know here what maps you wanna see on Legacy or what maps you want rid of. Remember to add one map I have to remove one map first so anything you don't like on the server feel free to share too. Any map suggested must have omnibot support or it won't be considered remember! Poll will be ... soon. And I plan to add/remove maps at the start of February. Here are the current maps on the server and what has been before-ish.
